I had a good gursikh friend................he always send me adult jokes when i stop him he says that this type of jokes are to change mood they make mood they are not for lust.

I am really confuse b'coz he said it depends on how we see things if we see from lust then its lust if our mann is safa then its not lust and he said he's mann is safa.

I say him that like this our human life will not be success b'coz mann toha batage hi na guru ji da charno cha mann ni lagega.

But he said eda ni hai.

Plz advice is it right according to GURMAT

Also i wanna ask one thing how much of u watch filmi movies........uda cha vi ganda dikhande kya oh sahi hai........kya knowledge vaste ki sex kida karde porn movies dekhana sahi hai??????????????

dirty jokes do promote kaam on at least some level. when he sends you joke emails, don't open them. if he gets mad, who cares?? you're supposed to take care of your jeevan. you don't always have to do what your friends say or go along with what your friends want.

dasam granth does NOT say it's ok to watch these things, your friend is a typical person who makes excuses and lies to justify himself. he might be so good at lying that even he believes he's telling the truth! there is no justification for watching porn at all in gurmat, that kind of garbage warps teh mind.

I don't know any religious people of any faith who ask whether it's OK to watch porn!!

I'm not judging anyone but are we sure none of these posts are a wind up from people who hate Sikhs progressing in Sikhi???

Do these porn, sex pictures, fart posts really have to be discussed on a Forum where people 'new to Sikhi' will be viewing.

I mean, even Gallivanting Gandhi who was a racist who slept with Children and Men didn't even have to ask if what he did was wrong (that's why he kept it hidden!!)

Surely, if such an immoral pervert like Gandhi knew what he was doing was wrong, then an Amritdhari should know a lot more than Gallivanting Ghandi, i.e. an Amritdari should know the basics or wrong and right! It's not to say an Amritdhari can't fail once in a while, or may be even succumb to temptation! But an Amritdhari at least knows what he or she has done is wrong!!

Like I say, I'm not judging, none of us a perfect, but do we need to keep on discussing, porn, sexy pics, farts, sex out of marriage etc. etc. every week? Like we don't know what Guru Ji is saying??

Some of the Gupt section/posts make me feel like I am reading the Agony Aunt Section in the Sun Newspaper, rather than a Sikh Sangat Column.

Admin - Can't you set up maybe a PM type of mail box/avtar of some kind? Where only members who WANT to see these types of questions/posts can view them, and answer them??

I understand your concerns. But to be honest brother, I think humans are just weird creatures. We have silly thoughts and awkward questions that trouble us. For some Gursikhs they don't want to ask anyone directly for solutions to strange situations, so under the protection of anonymity they post their queries on websites like these, knowing nobody will judge them. Sometimes when a person has nobody in their life to talk to, or if a Gursikh is too embarrassed to ask anyone else, it helps to consult the sangat.

I wouldn't worry about these kind of threads. As long as they remain gupt and the mods do regulate them, there's no harm done.

I personally think these people are seeking attention. Alot of these questions they ask are based on common sense.

To OP, would you ever ask Guru Sahib if watching porn is ok? No, then why are you not ashamed to ask sikhs?
