what did sangat make of this programme?

i found it disappointing ...

1 - disrecpectful terms being used again like 'sikh holy book'

2 - sonia (aka jaswinder sidhu) kaur deol being the presenter again

3 - nothing really knew on this programme

But this again i guess it would be perfect for gorai and coconuts to learn. and the bbc can tick a box saying they've made another sikh programme.

Stupid, Sonia could have said "Sikh Scriptures" but she kept saying Sikh holy book.

Consultant used (and possibly paid) - Indarjit Singh should have told them not to use phrase 'holy book'.

Otherwise mostly good for non-Sikhs.

I'd rather it was neither but I suppose someone had to do it. I'm just uncomfortable with the BBC using Ms. Deol as some kind of poster girl for Sikhi. The woman is very confused, and I'll leave it at that.

The use of puerile depictions of the original Vasaikhi through cartoons that looked like they were designed to appeal to 5 year olds was too much for me to take. Couldn't watch after that.

What little I saw seemed 'dumbed down' and mundane.

I have to ask. Are we being naive to expect anything else from such sources?

PS - Better her than Hardeep 'Comedian' Kohli......
