I just annoyed sometimes when i see people from our culture not doing the nitnem and people born outside the culture in means a gore becoming really religous and devout to god.

I hear you but it isn't as simple as that. Sometimes the goray bring in dodgy politics and practices themselves, such as gay Amritdhari viahs.

But yes, I do think there are a lot of deeply devoted Sikhs from non Panjabi backgrounds out there. I even met some Sindhi Pakistani 'Hindus' at a Gurdwara recently and their commitment to Sikh prayers was very inspiring and devout. Then you think boy, most of the descendants of Panjabi Sikhs in the diaspora don't even known 5 pauris of Japji Sahib and here are so called 'Hindus' who know it all by heart.

really depends on vaheguru's hukam and how he wants the universe to play out just stay with SatGuru jee's bachan and do the best YOU can your only here to correct urself bruv no one else and show compassion to all :D :waheguru:

Good point. According to bani, having bani bought into your life is a blessing from Waheguru itself. If you are blessed like this and enjoy it, then it should make you feel a tad sorry for the apnay that live their lives without experiencing it (not in a horrible supercillious way mind you!).

They say you can bring a horse to water but you can't make it drink - so in the end, even if we were to make loads of effort (as a community) to bring people closer to bani, it is no guarantee they will drink it.

Sai gal dalsingh bhaji if u think about it we r VERY VERY lucky to even hear of Gurbani and we must of done something correct in a previous life for this to happen :waheguru: i agree that some havent recieved this blessing but all is due in time maybe not in this janam maybe in the next one or whenever Akaal Purakh wants we just have to take a day as it comes and live in the present moment ...( abit contradictory of me as i have a report in for tomoro and im on here )

culture really does not have a thing to do with Sikhi. Some people born in Sikhi act as if amrit is some sort of Ruafsaa drink, they dont respect it one bit which is very sad and frustrating. Some people who arent born in Sikhi give it high value. At the end of the day, its the soul inside of you and how much its thirsty for guroosaahebs pyaar. If its strong enough to follow rehat and stay in bhanaa. Do not get annoyed, whatever they are doing is due to thier past karam. Just do ardaas for them to guroosaaheb, may they one day start following gursikhaa dee rehnee behnee jeevan!

I am white and have been doing kirtan for months now. I have read so much about Sikhism and find it a welcome change to what I was brought up in. I know it's hard to be different especially in this day but finding the Sikh faith has brought much peace into my life, so thank you for having a religion that accepts everyone.

hi we do not own this religion and arent even worthy of it , its all Vaheguru's gift to merge with himself we are just pupets thinkin we are something but we arent but carry on with doing good your helping urself aswell as others :D

Thank you for your kind words. It's just for the first time in my life I have found peace and a religion that doesn't make me feel like I don't belong.
