I've heard during Guru Nanak Dev Ji's travels he carried a kirpan, dhaal and a barsha (spear) and was well versed in vidiya of the shaster and passed down the knowledge to Baba Buddha Ji who passed it to Guru Arjan Dev Ji/Guru Hargobind ji

Often heard this, can you please provide a Puratan source, any Janamsakhi or Granth confirming the above?

for example at this link http://satguru.weebly.com/satguru-nanak-sahib-is-known-as-hassan-baba.html he has merely stated that Guru Nanak stayed in Greece for a few days and uttered seven shabads. Even though the title states that Guru sahib is known as hassan baba here, there is no mention of it in the text of the article and how the author reached this conclusion.

Gurmukho, regardless of what we agree or disagree on, lets make an attempt to educate all Sikhs as well as non-Sikhs about this. Our Guru Sahib traveled far and wide, traveled to preach the message of truth and not to invade and occupy lands like other so-called worldly conquerors. I request we undertake the task of studying the evidences provided on the links above if there are doubts. Maybe even contact the person who did all this research. But this information should be spread as much as possible. No other messenger or prophet of God has traveled the planet so much, which proves that Guru Sahib was no mere prophet or divine messenger.
