The Derby Sikh Sangat in conjunction with the Sikh Federation UK, Sikh Council UK and all the Derby Gurdwara’s, we have organised a candle light vigil in remembrance of the innocent Sikh men, women and children that were brutally slaughtered across Delhi and Northern India in November 1984.

Despite this event being widely recognised by Human Rights organisations as Genocide and Pogroms against the Sikhs, any sort of justice is yet to be served and delivered for both the victims and the Sikh Panth....27 years later named perpetrators still roam free within the Congress party.

Please all join in the remembrance for those thousands that were killed, raped and injured over the next week.

I remember that Sangat TV filmed a vigil from Birmingham last year. Is it happening again, if so, what's the date?

Wouldn't it be a very respectable effort if all the cities with Sikhs, from all around the world, did this vigil on the same night? and all of the sikhs sent their videos to Sikh Channel and Sangat TV for them to edit and air on their stations.

To every Sikh who remembers the Victims of 84 and gives their Mann, thann, and dhann to help the remaining families of the shaheeds, or to get justice, I touch your feet out of respect !!

The new News reporting on Sangat tv (day&night news) does seem to be very professional and a notch above!

They just reported that on 1st November, when everybody is supposed to remember the November 84 Genocide of Sikhs, today, in the Punjab, they decided to hold and open the World Kabbadi Cup Games where they had a massive firework and showcase opening event like they do at the Olympics. Only to rub salt further into the wounds of the families of the Shaheeds of 84, they had half naked women too, who were made to wiggle their bottoms at the camera, to really mark the murders of the thousands of Sikh children, women and men, who were raped, beaten, burnt and murdered, on this day, the Nov 1st, 1984!

Everybody saw they above on Sangat tv. Well Done Sangat tv for bringing this news to us, as painful to watch as it was. Looks like Sangat tv are planning to fearlessly follow the truth!!!!
