It's about Sikhs in The Hague building a Gurdwara next to 2 Mandirs. And this all is being done under the name of "Mandir Complex"

We, sikhs, already have a big identity problem in Europe and this will make the problems more for us esp. the Sikh youth who are trying to keep their Sikhi saroop. building this Gurdwara under the name of a Hindu mandir will have very negative consequences for the Sikh youth in Europe.

Why Sikhs in The Hague are willing to do this and put our different identity we have on risk? is because they just want a Beautiful Building. Now the Sangat is investing their money they earn honestly in this new building which will ruin our Image and worsen the situation more for Sikhs. No one in Holland will think of this problem on long term. So that s why we need the help of Panthik jathebandis to stop this from happening.

DEN HAAG (ANP) - De gemeente Den Haag krijgt het grootste hindoetempelcomplex van het Europese vasteland. Een consortium van drie verschillende hindoestromingen gaat achter station Hollands Spoor drie tempels naast elkaar bouwen.

Dat heeft een woordvoerster van wethouder Marnix Norder (stadsontwikkeling) vrijdag gemeld naar aanleiding van een bericht in dagblad Trouw. Het gaat om een miljoenenproject dat de organisaties zelf betalen. ,,De gemeente verkoopt de grond, maar investeert zelf geen geld in het project’’, stelt de zegsvrouw.

Volgens wethouder Norder wordt het complex ,,een icoon voor de stad en voor Nederland’’. De Hindoestaanse gemeenschap is volgens hem de grootste allochtone bevolkingsgroep in de regio Haaglanden. De hofstad zelf telt 50.000 hindoes, zo’n tien procent van het totale inwoneraantal.

They are going to be build 2 mandirs and next to the mandir 1 Gurdwara, but the Committee members of this Gurdwara are taking part of this project under HINDUISM. And now the Dutch media is describing Sikhism as a sect of Hinduism..

So the Gurdwara Committee members are not working under a seperate Sikh identity. This will bring a lot of confusion. And many problems for the Sikh youth in Holland.
