This is all rubish. This issue was settled by Shri akal Takhat Sahib in 2007. Here is what happened.....

1. This is not SGPC Book. It is actually Hindi Translation of Brook written by J.D. Cunnigham in 1998-1999 called "History of the Sikhs".This is mere translation in hindi named as "Sikh Ithihas". by SGPC.

2. Due to some facts as mentioned in the interview are not right in this book. hence it was reported to Sri Akal Takhat Sahib in july 2007 by Sikh Sangat. This book was banned and recalled on the recomendation of a 5 member committe by SGPC on 25th of July 2007. Sangat was asked to return this book (who ever might have it) and get their money refunded.

3. Obviously this fellow did not return it and still beating the drums for "KOOR PARCHAR"

I am not BADAL man. I am just one from Sangat and dont like SGPC bashing or Sri Akal Takhat Sahib's Jathedar's bashing for wrong reasons

JD Cunnigham is an outsider and his knowledge of Sikh history was limited.But he appreciated Sikh valour of Anglo-Sikh wars.SGPC should have been circumspect about his book.
