How strict do i have to be when I'm reading guru ji? Thank you

WaheguruJiKaKhalsa!!WaheguruJiKiFateh!!

Just like paper is a medium on which bani is written and compiled together becomes our Guru Mahraj'sSaroop

Same way Electronic media is

Treat it with same way as they would in Gurudwara

Prakash Sukhasan , everything

Do not carry a copy of saroop in your fone. imagine you had 2 inch copy of maharaj's saroop. would you carry around in pocket? its beadbi

:) please follow full rehat maryada for it.

yes i know people who do all those and they even do chor on your pc.

The most important part is to contemplate on the teachings and follow the teachings. Otherwise, please do what you would do when in front of Physical form of Guru (Guru Nanak Dev ji ). How will you go in front of them? How will you ensure you respect them? And please remember, the best Gurdakshina you can actually give to Gurus is follow their teachings and become what they want you to become.

WaheGuru ji ka Khalsa, WaheGuru ji ki Fateh!

I carry my Sony Reader whereever I go and I have a similar PDF of SGGS ji bhul chuk maaf but I don't think I do anything bad in my day.. the only types of thing is sometimes I read it with shoes on when I'm outside but nothing any of the 10 Gurus would object too.. bhul chuuk madf .. I also never have it in the front page when I'm carrying it around and do bow upon opening and closing the file.

Bani is Guru and Guru is Bani. Read it and as Manu said, the most important thing is to Respect it by Applying it to your life.

If you don't do that, u may aswell be reading a recipe for a cake.

    • Hi All, I havent been on this forum for a while but I thought id give it a try again as it helped me through some rough times earlier in my life. I wanted to seek for guidance on sikhi and marriage ... I noticed a post earlier on sanjog etc. and it got me thinking about my own life and marriage. For context, I have been married 3 years and things are not working out. When we met, I looked in to sanjog alot and it felt like it was written. However, as these years have gone by its become apparent that we no longer align with each other and our marriage is struggling. We dont seem to understand each other and things have fallen apart. We are at a stage now where separation/divorce is looking like the best option. Neither of us are happy and whilst we have tried to work things through in many different ways, after 3 years we have drifted away. What are the sikh views on this? is it written if we decide that we no longer serve each other? or is that a sin and should I continue to work at it? my issue at the moment is that it is draining me. I feel withdrawn from everything due to things going on between us including sikhi and going to the gurdwara.  Breaks my heart to even be writing this but I do think if we are both not happy and cant see a way of being happy then what is the point in continuing? Or should I be continuing and is it paap if we dont honour our laavan? if that is the case, what does sikhi say about marriage? how do I continue knowing everyday I feel the way I do?   Thanks

    • I'll use this place as my spiritual journal so if anyone wants to join then feel free to! I'm not sure if this could be classed as an experience but last week (or 2 weeks ago), I felt my saliva to be sweet however I lost it after a week. I don't really regret it though, if I lost it then it's Hukam Another point, I feel my concentration to be very good for a while, I can focus on the void for a longer period of time than I could before. I also feel a lot more Anand, it's all Guru di kirpa
