Im a skih and have been brought up to cut my hair and beard. although my dad doesnt approve of this i would like to keep my hair. if i start growing it now will it have any effect if i plan to take amrit or in general as a sikh

What do you mean 'will it have any effect if I plan to take amrit or in general as a sikh' if you grow your hair? The path that you are taking is a positive one.
