A 52-year-old Bradford businessman used his mobile phone to film himself sexually abusing a young woman in a motel room after grooming her on a social network site.

Husaini Master also raped another woman he met online and photographed her as she lay asleep and naked on a bed after the attack.

Both victims later complained of passing out after drinking alcohol and told police they believed their drinks had been spiked.

The two victims from County Durham and Shropshire were among at least 30 vulnerable and troubled young women across the country the defendant regularly chatted with online.

At Birmingham Crown Court yesterday Master was jailed for a total of six and a half years and will be the subject of sexual offences prevention order for an indefinite period.

Judge Peter Barrie said Master had been involved in a long course of abusive behaviour and involved sexual abuse that was despicable.

He said both victims felt they had been drugged and described feeling unwell, dizzy and extremely sleepy and that Master had revelled in filming and photographing the women when they were unclothed and asleep.

While tests did not reveal any drugs, I am sure that you found a way to put something in the drinks to make them insensible for you to abuse them sexually said Judge Barrie.

He said Master was involved in a carefully planned course of conduct, befriending the women, even giving money to one of them for her to repair her computer.

Master, of Sandymoor, Allerton, Bradford, who has a food import business, was convicted of rape and two other sexual offences last month.

The prosecution said West Mercia police found material on Masters mobile phone and computer after a complaint from the 28-year-old Shropshire victim.

He said the 21-year-old woman in County Durham, who until then was unaware that she was the victim of sexual abuse, was identified and contacted by the police.

During the trial the jury heard Master had travelled to Stockton-on-Tees in September, 2011, to meet the younger victim and took her to a service area on the A19 at Billingham.

He paid cash for a room at a Premier Inn where he filmed himself sexually abusing the victim which was played for the jury.

A few months later, in January last year, Master drove to Telford to meet the second victim who was aged 28.

Again he paid cash for a room at a Premier Inn telling the young woman there was to be a party for the victims birthday. However, there were no other guests and the victim drank vodka and Red Bull before twice being sexually assaulted by Master, who took photographs of her when she was being sick and when naked and asleep.

Master, clutching a religious book as he gave evidence, told the jury he was a devout Muslim from a traditional Indian family who had been married for 30 years.

He denied he been grooming the victims and claimed any sexual activity was consensual, but could give no reason for the filming or taking of photographs.

Simon Mills, mitigating for Master, said that his client and his wife had recently been through an Islamic divorce and he had been shunned by members of his community.

The case emerged from inquiries during Operation Chalice an extensive investigation by West Mercia police into the sexual exploitation of teenage girls in Shropshire, which led to seven Telford men being convicted and jailed.

After todays hearing Detective Inspector Mike Nally, of Telford CID, praised the victims for their dignity, bravery and determination during the inquiry and when giving evidence.

These guys, get me so sick. Here we are, reading gurbani nitnem etc, doing kamaaee

There they are, raping girls stuck In the 5 evils (Haumai). Lust and anger have taken over there lives, I sometimes feel bad for them. Though sometimes I also feel they deserve this punishment, they have let the 5 evils take over much too much, even your regular atheist wouldn't do this.

    • The Mind is Jyot Saroop (Waheguru), but the mind is under the influence of five evils… Through Naam Simran( Rememberance), the mind will begin to detach from evil, and get back to its original form ( MANN TU JYOT SAROOP HEH)… Until the mind breaks free from the five evils, one will go through the cycle of paap and punn….which leads to Karma… Naam Simran destroys past karma, and prevents new karma coming into fruition… I did this, I did that… This non realisation of the Jyot Saroop gives rise to paap and Punn, which in turn gives birth to suffering and misery…
    • I agree we're not born with sin like the Christians think. Also I agree we have effects of karma. But Gurbani does state that the body contains both sin and charity (goodness): ਕਾਇਆ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਪਾਪੁ ਪੁੰਨੁ ਦੁਇ ਭਾਈ ॥ Within the body are the two brothers sin and virtue. p126 Actually, we do need to be saved. Gurbani calls this "udhaar" (uplift). Without Satguru, souls are liable to spiritual death: ਜਿਨਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨ ਭੇਟਿਓ ਸੇ ਭਾਗਹੀਣ ਵਸਿ ਕਾਲ ॥ p40 Those who have not met Satguru Purakh are unfortunate and liable to death. So, yeah, we do need to be saved, and Guru ji does the saving. The reason Satguru is the one to save is because God has given Satguru the "key" (kunji): ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਥਿ ਕੁੰਜੀ ਹੋਰਤੁ ਦਰੁ ਖੁਲੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਮਿਲਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ In the True Guru's hand is the key. None else can open the door. By perfect good fortune the Guru is met. p124
    • That's unfortunate to hear. Could you give any more information? Who was this "baba"? He just disappeared with people's money? Obviously, you should donate your money to known institutions or poor people that you can verify the need of through friends and family in Punjab.
    • Sangat ji,  I know a family who went Sevewal to do seva sometimes end of 2019. They returned last year in great dismay and heart broken.  To repent for their mistakes they approached panj pyaare. The Panj gave them their punishment / order to how t make it up which, with Kirpa, they fulfilled.  They were listening to a fake Baba who, in the end, took all the "Donations " and fled sometime over a year ago. For nearly 4 years this family (who are great Gursikhs once u get to know them) wasted time and effort for this fake Baba. NOT ONLY this one fam. But many, many did worldwide and they took their fam to do seva, in village Sevewal, city Jaitho in Punjab. In the end many families lost money in thousands being behind this Baba. The family, on return, had to get in touch with all the participants and told them to stop.  I am stating this here to create awareness and we need to learn from whom we follow and believe. It's no easy but if we follow the 3 S (Sangat, Simran and Seva) we will be shown the light. As I am writing this the family in question have been doing the same since 2008 onwards and they fell for this Baba... it is unbelievable and shocking.  This am writing in a nutshell as am at work on my break so not lengthy but it deserves a great length.  Especially the family in question, who shed light on youngsters about Sikhi 20 plus years!!
