iNDIA is a hindu nation ...... can u imagine any sikh dare to say this ....... i'm sure if does ...he gonna be arrested.

Lucknow: BJP leader Uma Bharti on Wednesday warned of "more tension" in Uttar Pradesh if politicians from her party are arrested for instigating the riots that tore through Muzaffarnagar earlier this month, leaving nearly 50 people dead and forcing 40,000 people into refugee camps.

"Our MLAs (state legislators) will not oppose their arrest, but the government is responsible for what will follow. I am warning them," she said, in comments directed to the ruling Samajwadi Party (SP). "If any MLAs are arrested, it means they (SP) want to restart the riots... and this time, they want to target one particular community and one party."

She issued her threat outside the state assembly in Lucknow while flanking her party's Sangeet Som, one of the politicians against whom a warrant has been issued by a local court. Party workers encircled Mr Som, forcing the police that had arrived to arrest him to turn away.

Mr Som has admitted that his office circulated a fake video that claimed to show the lynching of two Hindu Jat boys; he said that the video had been uploaded by the ruling Samajwadi Party originally.

The police says the footage is two years old and from Pakistan, and inflamed the tension that resulted in the worst communal riots in the state in over a decade.

Later in the evening, Uma Bharti wrote a letter to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in which she alleged that BJP MLAs and workers and people from a particular community were being targeted by the state government. "I am concerned that state government's irresponsible actions can lead to opposite effect on maintaining peace in the state," she said in the letter.(Read letter here)

The group of politicians accused of delivering incendiary speeches at different meetings in Muzaffarnagar include Sangeet Som and Bhartendu Singh of the BJP; Kadir Rana, Noor Saleem and Maulana Jameel of the BSP; and Congress leader Saeeduzaman.

The riots have triggered speculation that parties are seeking to polarise the politically pivotal state along religious lines ahead of general elections due next year.

The Samajwadi Party has accused the BJP of inciting violence; the BJP denies that and says the government has enforced policies that protect and serve only minority voters.

It double standards all the way. First the Hindus under the BJP/RSS leadership gather in huge numbers and openly say they will kill Muslims then go out and do the usual of Killing not just young men , but elderly and children (I am not siding with Muslims, but the same mobs did the same to Sikhs and will do again). The BJP/RSS are not opposed by the police who just as with Sikhs massacre side with the Hindus. Double standards again that Manmohan Singh sends in the army and then says he will punish the guilty, when he does nothing for Sikhs. The conclusion is Hindu mobs will never be stopped by the largely Hindu police , Congress will help victims if they can blame the BJP.

For Sikhs not only will the Hindu police fire on them but Sikh police as well and the Badal Akalis, Congress and BJP will not help get them justice or punish the guilty.

At least 34 children have died in relief camps set up for thousands of people who fled their homes during Hindu-Muslim clashes in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh in September, an official report says.

Officials have denied media reports that most of the children died of cold.

They say the children died of pneumonia and dysentery, among other ailments.

Sixty-five people died in the clashes in September. The riots were described as the worst in India in a decade.

Thousands of people fled their homes in the town of Muzaffarnagar after the violence which was sparked by the killing of three men who had objected to the harassment of a young woman.

A report by a government appointed panel said at least 34 children, aged below 12, had died in the relief camps.

There were reports in the Indian media that many of these children had died of severe cold.

"The cause of the death of all these children is different with about four dying because of pneumonia while some others died because of dysentery and one due to premature birth," a senior official of Uttar Pradesh state, AK Gupta, told reporters.

He said most of the children who died "had been taken outside the camps for treatment by their parents or were referred to government hospitals for treatment".

The report also said that 4,783 people were still living in five relief camps in Muzaffarnagar and Shamli districts.

At least 85 people were injured in September's rioting. The clashes also left more than 50,000 people, mostly Muslims, homeless.

It is not just Sikhs, all minorities Muslims/Dalits/Christians/Sikhs and even Tamils/Telugus - all are suffering, and none of these minorities can even dare to say what all Uma Bharati/Narendra Modi/L.K.Advani can challenge. These are leaders of Hindu Terrorism, there organisation should be banned and these people should be put behind bars for ever if India (Inc :D) is serious to prove itself a serious secular democracy.
