Khalsa Ji,

You need to read Ang. 92, 1082, 988, 954 SGGS. They are mentioned there..

Waheguru...

Janmayjaa wept, that he had lost his way.
One mistake, and he became a sinner.

...He was the grandson of Arjun and King of Hastinapur as you know.

Any idea the story behind the the brief mention of him in Gurbani?

Khalsa Jio,

Arjun was part of the 'Pandav' clan. Darjodhan was part of the 'Kaurav' clan. When Arjun and his brothers, including Dropghi, went into exile for twelve years, they did menial labour, in order to keep their real identity hidden.

They cried at the humiliation they incurred, and remembered the time when they were in the company of 'Swami' (Krishan); a life in total contrast.

SGGS: Ang. 954, Ramkali KI Vaar, M:1

Khalsa Ji,

Janmeja asked Beas Ji, why the pious Dujishtar agreed to engage in gambling; why Krishan didn't warn him of the consequences.

Beas Ji explained that it was deemed to occur. After much philosophical discourse, Beas Ji informed Janmeja of his ill- fated future. Janmeja was adamant that, since he was forewarned, that this meant he could be forearmed, and avoid any such activity that resulted in Paap.

As time went by, Janmeja began to discard the warnings of Beas Ji, and as such, committed the exact Paap that he had been warned about.

That one misdemeanour resulted in him crying, when he had to face the phall....

Waheguru.....
