Can someone explain to this moorkh what is really waheguru mean bhagat kabeer ji first second third fourth guru ji neh khera naam japeya? Why they never use the word waheguru at there time? When did Sikhs start using the word waheguru? Is waheguru really naam or name of the creator?

ਸਤਿਜੁਗ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਾਸਦੇਵ ਵਵਾ ਵਿਸਨਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵੈ।

In Satyug, Visnu in the form of Vasudev is said to have incarnated and V Of Vahiguru reminds of Visnu.

ਦੁਆਪੁਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਹਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਹਾਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਵੈ।

The true Guru of dvapar is said to be Harikrsna and H of Vahiguru reminds of Hari.

ਤ੍ਰੇਤੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਰਾਮ ਜੀ ਰਾਰਾ ਰਾਮ ਜਪੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ।

In the the treta was Ram and R of Vahiguru tells that rembering Ram will produce joy and happiness.

ਕਲਿਜੁਗਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਗਗਾ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਲਾਵੈ*।

In kalijug, Gobind is in the form of Nanak and G of Vahiguru gets Govind recited.

ਚਾਰੇ ਜਾਗੇ ਚਹੁ ਜੁਗੀ ਪੰਚਾਇਣ ਵਿਚਿ ਜਾਇ ਸਮਾਵੈ।

The recitations o f all the four ages subsume in Panchayan i.e. in the soul of the common man.

ਚਾਰੋ ਅਛਰ ਇਕੁ ਕਰਿ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜਪੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਜਪਾਵੈ*।

When joining four letters Vahiguru is remembered,

ਜਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਤਹਾਂ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥੪੯॥੧॥

The jiv merges again in its origin.

Narayan, the lord of the destitutes, assuming forms has established mastery over all.

ਨਰਪਤਿ ਨਰਹ ਨਰਿੰਦੁ ਹੈ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰਿ ਆਕਾਰੁ ਬਣਾਇਆ।

He is the formless king of all men and kings who created various forms.

ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਵਖਾਣੀਐ ਕਾਰਣੁ ਕਰਣੁ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਬਿਰਦਾਇਆ।

As is creator of all the causes He is true to His reputation.

ਦੇਵੀ ਦੇਵ ਦੇਵਾਧਿ ਦੇਵ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ਨ ਅਲਖੁ ਲਖਾਇਆ।

Gods and goddesses also could not know the extent of that Lord, the imperceptible and beyond all mysteries.

ਸਤਿ ਰੂਪੁ ਸਤਿਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਉ ਜਪਾਇਆ।

The true Guru Nanak Dev inspired people to remember the true name of the Lord whose form is truth.

ਧਰਮਸਾਲ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਪੁਰੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਚਖੰਡ ਵਸਾਇਆ।

Founding dharamsala, the place for dharma, at Kartarpur, it was inhabited by the holy congregartion as the abode

ਅਬਿਗਤਿ ਗਤਿ ਅਬਿਗਤਿ ਦੀ ਕਿਉ ਅਲਖ ਲਖਾਏ।

How is the dynamism of the Unmanifest known?

ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਹੈ ਅਕਥ ਦੀ ਕਿਉ ਆਖਿ ਸੁਣਾਏ।

How can the story of that ineffable Lord be told?

ਅਚਰਜ ਨੋ ਆਚਰਜ ਹੈ ਹੈਰਾਣ ਕਰਾਏ।

He is wonderful for the wonder itself.

ਵਿਸਮਾਦੇ ਵਿਸਮਾਦੁ ਹੈ ਵਿਸਮਾਦੁ ਸਮਾਏ।

The absorbents in the wondrous realization get themselves elated.

ਵੇਦੁ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਭੇਦੁ ਕਿਹੁ ਸੇਸਨਾਗੁ ਨ ਪਾਏ।

The Vedas also do not understand this mystery and even the Sesanag (mythological snake having thousand hoods) cannot know its limits.

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਲਾਹਣਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਬਦ ਅਲਾਏ ॥੧੩॥

When did Sikhs start using the word waheguru?

ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖੀ ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖ ਸੁਣ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਭੋਲਾ।

Listening to the teachings of the Guru, the Sikh becomes wise internally though apparently he looks a simpleton.

ਸਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਾਵਧਾਨ ਹੋਇ ਵਿਣੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦ ਨ ਸੁਣਈ ਬੋਲਾ।

He with full care keeps his consciousness attuned to the Word and listens to nothing except the words of Guru.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੇਖਣਾ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਣੁ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਖੋਲਾ।

He beholds the true Guru and without the company of the saints feels himself blind and deaf.

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਲੈ ਪਿਰਮ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਚੁਪਿ ਚਬੋਲਾ।

The Guru's word he receives is Vahiguru, the wondrous Lord, and remains silently immersed in delight.

ਪੈਰੀ ਪੈ ਪਾਖਾਕ ਹੋਇ ਚਰਣਿ ਧੋਇ ਚਰਣੋਦਕ ਝੋਲਾ।

He bows on the feet and becoming (humble) like dust goes on quaffing the nectar of the feet (of the Lord).

ਚਰਣ ਕਵਲ ਚਿਤੁ ਭਵਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਭਵਜਲ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਰਹੈ ਨਿਰੋਲਾ।

He remains involved like black bee in the lotus feet (of the Guru) and thus living in this world ocean remains unsmeared (by its water and dust).

ਜੀਵਣਿ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਸਚਾਵਾ ਚੋਲਾ ॥੧੭॥

His is life of a liberated one during the life on earth i.e. he is a jivanmukt'.

Is waheguru really naam or name of the creator?

ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖੁ ਹੈ ਪੀਰ ਪੀਰਹੁ ਕੋਈ।

By the teachings of the Guru many become disciples of the Guru, but some rare one becomes the Guru like that Guru.

ਸਬਦਿ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਚੇਲਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਸੋਈ।

Only the practitioner of the word and consciousness can attain the status of Guru-God.

ਦਰਸਨਿ ਦਿਸਟਿ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਧਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਹੋਈ।

Such a disciple concentrating on the philosophy of the Guru (and making it a part of daily conduct) himself becomes a likeness of Guru.

ਸਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਕਰ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਸਤਿਸੰਗਿ ਵਿਲੋਈ।

Making his consciousness attentive to Word through recitation of Naam, he merges in the holy congregation.

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਜਪਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਖੋਈ।

His Guru-manta is Vahiguru, whose recitation erases egotism.

ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ ਗੁਣ ਗੁਣੀ ਪਰੋਈ ॥੨॥

Losing egotism and merging into the qualities of the supreme Lord, he himself becomes full of qualities.

The Wondrous, Beauteous and blest are thou, O Guru-God.

ਵਾਹਿ ਗੁਰੂ = ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ! ਤੂੰ ਅਚਰਜ ਹੈਂ।

ਵਾਹ ਵਾਹ! ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ! ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ! ਸਦਕੇ!

ਕਵਲ ਨੈਨ ਮਧੁਰ ਬੈਨ ਕੋਟਿ ਸੈਨ ਸੰਗ ਸੋਭ ਕਹਤ ਮਾ ਜਸੋਦ ਜਿਸਹਿ ਦਹੀ ਭਾਤੁ ਖਾਹਿ ਜੀਉ ॥

कवल नैन मधुर बैन कोटि सैन संग सोभ कहत मा जसोद जिसहि दही भातु खाहि जीउ ॥

Kaval nain maḏẖur bain kot sain sang sobẖ kahaṯ mā jasoḏ jisahi ḏahī bẖāṯ kẖāhi jī▫o.

Thou are lotus-eyed, recite sweet words and are embellished with millions of hosts. Thou are the one, whom the mother, Yashoda, asks to partake the curd and rice.

ਨੈਨ = ਨੇਤ੍ਰ। ਮਧੁਰ = ਮਿੱਠੇ। ਬੈਨ = ਬਚਨ। ਕੋਟਿ ਸੈਨ = ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਸੈਨਾਂ, ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਜੀਵ। ਸੰਗ = (ਤੇਰੇ) ਨਾਲ। ਸੋਭ = ਸੋਹਣੇ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ। ਜਿਸਹਿ = ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ, (ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ!) ਭਾਵ, ਤੈਨੂੰ, (ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ!)। ਕਹਤ = ਆਖਦੀ ਸੀ। ਮਾ ਜਸੋਦ = ਮਾਂ ਜਸੋਧਾ। ਭਾਤੁ = ਚਉਲ। ਜੀਉ = ਹੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ!

ਤੇਰੇ ਕਮਲ ਵਰਗੇ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਹਨ, (ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ) ਮਾਂ ਜਸੋਧਾ ਆਖਦੀ ਸੀ-'ਹੇ ਲਾਲ (ਆ), ਦਹੀਂ ਚਾਉਲ ਖਾ।'

ਦੇਖਿ ਰੂਪੁ ਅਤਿ ਅਨੂਪੁ ਮੋਹ ਮਹਾ ਮਗ ਭਈ ਕਿੰਕਨੀ ਸਬਦ ਝਨਤਕਾਰ ਖੇਲੁ ਪਾਹਿ ਜੀਉ ॥

देखि रूपु अति अनूपु मोह महा मग भई किंकनी सबद झनतकार खेलु पाहि जीउ ॥

Ḏekẖ rūp aṯ anūp moh mahā mag bẖa▫ī kinknī sabaḏ jẖanaṯkār kẖel pāhi jī▫o.

Seeing thy supremely beauteous from and hearing the tinkling sound of thy lion-chain, when thou were at play, the mother was greatly intoxicated through love.

ਦੇਖਿ = ਵੇਖ ਕੇ। ਅਤਿ ਅਨੂਪੁ = ਬੜਾ ਸੋਹਣਾ। ਮਹਾ ਮਗ ਭਈ = ਬਹੁਤ ਮਗਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ। ਕਿੰਕਨੀ = ਤੜਾਗੀ। ਸਬਦ = ਆਵਾਜ਼। ਝਨਤਕਾਰ = ਛਣਕਾਰ। ਖੇਲੁ ਪਾਹਿ ਜੀਉ = ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਖੇਡ ਮਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੈਂ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਖੇਡ ਮਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੈਂ, ਤੇਰੀ ਤੜਾਗੀ ਦੀ ਛਣਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਸੀ, ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਤ ਸੋਹਣੇ ਮੁਖੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ (ਮਾਂ ਜਸੋਧਾ) ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਮਗਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ।

ਕਾਲ ਕਲਮ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਹਾਥਿ ਕਹਹੁ ਕਉਨੁ ਮੇਟਿ ਸਕੈ ਈਸੁ ਬੰਮ੍ਯ੍ਯੁ ਗ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਨੁ ਧ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਨੁ ਧਰਤ ਹੀਐ ਚਾਹਿ ਜੀਉ ॥

काल कलम हुकमु हाथि कहहु कउनु मेटि सकै ईसु बम्यु ग्यानु ध्यानु धरत हीऐ चाहि जीउ ॥

Kāl kalam hukam hāth kahhu ka▫un met sakai īs bamm▫yu ga▫yān ḏẖeān ḏẖaraṯ hī▫ai cẖāhi jī▫o.

Death's pen and command are in thy hand, and who can efface thy will? Shiva and Brahma crave to enshrine thy gnosis and meditation in their mind.

ਕਾਲ ਕਲਮ = ਕਾਲ ਦੀ ਕਲਮ। ਹਾਥਿ = (ਤੇਰੇ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ। ਕਹਹੁ = ਦੱਸੋ। ਈਸੁ = ਸ਼ਿਵ। ਥੰਮ੍ਯ੍ਯ = ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ। ਗ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਨੁ ਧ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਨੁ = ਤੇਰੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ। ਧਰਤ ਹੀਐ ਚਾਹਿ ਜੀਉ = ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਕਾਲ ਦੀ ਕਲਮ ਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਹੀ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਹਨ। ਦੱਸੋ, ਕਉਣ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਨੂੰ) ਮਿਟਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਸ਼ਿਵ ਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ੇ ਹੋਏ) ਗਿਆਨ ਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਧਾਰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਸਤਿ ਸਾਚੁ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸਦਾ ਤੁਹੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥੬॥

सति साचु स्री निवासु आदि पुरखु सदा तुही वाहिगुरू वाहिगुरू वाहिगुरू वाहि जीउ ॥१॥६॥

Saṯ sācẖ sarī nivās āḏ purakẖ saḏā ṯuhī vāhigurū vāhigurū vāhigurū vāhi jī▫o. ||1||6||

Thou are ever just, true, the abode of excellence and the Primeval person. My wondrous, beauteous and lustrious Guru, thou are worthy of praise and reverence.

ਸ੍ਰੀ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ = ਲੱਛਮੀ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ॥੧॥੬॥

ਹੇ ਗੁਰੂ! ਤੂੰ ਅਚਰਜ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਤਿ-ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਅਟੱਲ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਲੱਛਮੀ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਹੈਂ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਹੈਂ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ-ਥਿਰ ਹੈਂ ॥੧॥੬॥
