Nihang are the fauj. Spirituality and physically. while we all sit and talk on whats happening with nihangs how many of us could have done a chaupi sahib for maharaj to help or even give a seva... It's us who destroy panth.

If you all think that they are useless why don't you become the real nihangs. Get Santhiya of the 3 grants, become great leaders like akaali baba puhla singh ji baba deep singh ji, navaab kapoor singh.... All nihangs....

Why is the fauj nowhere to be seen when Sikhs of whatever city get into clashes with other people? I can understand why maybe Santa didn't want to ally with Bhindranwala, Akalis are scumbags for sure, but what on earth made him accept Indiras money and rebuild Akal Takht? Fact is for the most part today, Nihangs do very little for the panth.

There were more AKJs and Taksaalis fighting for the freedom of our people than there were Nihang Singhs. The AKJ's emphasis is on Kirtan. The Taksaal's is on Santhiya. And yet their military contributions were greater than the Buddha Dal's, the samparda whose professed métier is warfare.

I don't doubt that Nihangs do Seva, but one doesn't need to be a Nihang to do seva. The only thing that apparently distinguishes Nihangs from ordinary Sikhs is their position as faujis. What good are faujis who don't actually fight?

A fight is not always physical. Sometimes for a army to survive is to stay quite and gain in numbers educate. In this day and age there is no raj to have a army. Everyone who is fighting like physically is losing and getting put in jail. We as a panth want khalistan...... We can't run a gw a jathebandhi.... We wana run a country. The nihangs in India are only keeping the maryada alive. We in the western world need to educate and develop our sikhi for them. And if and when time comes then we will know what to do. Fighting over posters is useless. In that time we can teach kids get a better education raise money for families who need help. Fight the Kaljug.

Veereh, you do know a large number who fought 84 and after they were far from kirtanis/gianis...alot of sikhs just took amrit and fought at harmandhir sahib...they were neither vidwaans from taksal or this akj...most took amrit a few weeks/months before yudh

again i ask the question what are jathas doing to clean up drugs in punjab and the decline in sikhi in general, we have already come to the conclusion nihungs are worthless...fair enough so what are others doing...taksal? Akj?others?

Also i would like to ask those who are quiet angry buddha dal did not back 84 (i can see why), how many of you have been to india to talk to nihung jathedars?...theres a lot of respect in india between taksal and nihung dals..the only disrespect/anger/divisions is coming from singhs in west...

Point taken, but obstacles such as clashes do rise, should Sikhs sit and do nothing? should we just take the beatings? This sounds like a very Gandhi like approach. If Sikhs in the 80's had this view that there is no point in fighting because you'll just end up in jail or lose, NOTHING would have happened, no morcha, nothing and we'd probably be hindus by now.

What we need now is a different way of thinking. A lion only gets up when things are really bad. Let's everyone deal with it first. That's what I see right now. Nihangs right now have no power. In moving dal there is from 10 to 30 singhs. Move every 4 days. Do parchaar carry maharaj. As per maharaj maryada. In the head quarters there can be 30 to 100 per dal. New dals are getting created. from my own thinking and having seen the Indian singhs they are keeping the maryada alive.. Noting else. Sikhi is a new religion.. And to many of us are wanting to be jathedar and not seva Dar.. Tbh I look at sant ranjit singh openly talks against the nihang singh maryada.. Nkj do bog panga in uk. when we look at baba thakur singh ji sant Gurbachan singh they all had respect and they all saw each other as brothers and from same source.

It brings tears to the eyes when people fight over small issues like meat degh... First maryada was to love.

Ranjit Singh likes to dress up in Nihang banah of Gurus Fauj. But fails to show up any morchas.

Does he ever get arrested when morchas happen or take the front line ? Like day Aissf Karnail Singh Peer Mohammed or others..

Amrit was only given to elite after doing seva. Now we give it to anyone who keeps Kesh.

Parchaar should be for commission and treating each other equally. Why was it Muslims and Hindus came to sant baba nand singh cause he preached piyaar. Best is to look at the world.

Amrit is for people who want to give tgere life to maharaj. Quality of people not quantity...
