From what you have written this guy appears to be a Ahmediya Muslim. These Ahmedis are considered heretics by all other Muslims. In many Muslim countries they can be prosecuted for being Ahmediyas. They are not considered as Muslims by other Muslims. They are well known to lie in order to promote their sect.

Ask this person if he is an Ahmediya. If he says yes then ask him why he is not allowed to go to Mecca as Ahmediyas are banned from making the Hajj. Ask him to first get his fellow Muslims to start to consider him as a Muslim and then you will consider answering his claim that Guru Nanak was a Muslim.

The publication Sikh Religion and Islam would help you here, it answers many such questions that were addressed to the Sikh Missionary Society U.K. when Gurbachan Singh Jee was around.

If you have any questions that you can not answer yourself, just post them here and the Sadh-Sangat will try to address the issues.
