Facebook/Twitter Sikh Groups pages

Anyone know what all these groups and pages are about on Sikhism? I never really visit them, to be honest I never really go on Facebook or twitter. But was intrigued when i saw one group. What are they all about and are there any interesting ones. How do these platforms work. Are they similar to forums. Forgive me for my lack of knowledge of these things. 

Social media is all rather difficult to understand and get to grips with.

Hii, basically people follow them, or join their group by sending a request and their posts will come up on your news page/feed.  Im in some groups with 400k+ members, they post pictures and people comment & like. Rarely do I ever see anyone arguing amongst eachother there. Sometimes you might get friend requests just by commenting.
