Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa!

Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!

BUT I WILL definitely ask them to take this section out if you guys convince me.

Veerjee we can't convince you in deciding any matter, its completely on owner which is you who should convince yourself in matters like this. Sikhnet.com, allaboutsikhs.com all are into online profit business stuff which is kinda huge put off for the visitors. On the same site you probably have gurbani quotes saying murtey pooja is against sikhi teachings, but those site contradicts itself by selling these murteeya ? :| Bakkey rahey gaal gas station owners and so on.. Why we/you wanna compare yourself with them? if your site has nothing to do with sikhi panth, then i/we would not mind of having murteeya selling indirect link page on the site.

On very similar topic.. One time i met waheguroo network sewadars and the first thing i liked about them is that they mentioned no matter how deep they go into debt to pay for the sever, they would never ever take a short cut of having any kind of advertisement on their network. can you imagine saintsoldiers website selling photographs of Indira ghandi? confused_smile.gif of course no..

Anyway.. we can't do anything just our own opinions.. :e:

Gurfathe,

allaboutsikhs.com is a great site that many of the yout use, it is a starting poinng for people who know notjhing about Sikhi. I feel that associating with moorties, etc gives immpressionable people the wrong idea. Say you are some one who knows little about Sikhi, you will read sikhs dont agree with moortie puja yet this big sikh site is selling moorties.

I feel that a great web site like yours which is doing so much work in educateing should not at any cost be associated with idols, etc.

I understand what you mean by gursikhs selling items prohibated by Sikhi, i think they are wrong, but you on the other hand the aim of your site is to promote Sikhi and what it is.

Pull chuk maff.

fateh ji,

Tolshop.com had contacted me to open a gifts to india shop. It is a website based in India who sell wide variety of stuff. so i agreed as a trial ,the site is not my server , i havent had time to customise it and sort out the minor details and i do not control the backend BUT I WILL definitely ask them to take this section out if you guys convince me.

so the issue is commercialism or selling moortis. Commercialism or donations is a way to offset server and maintainance cost. allaboutsikhs.com is a panthic site and will stay thatway

My honest question to you guys, explain to this manmukh

1. Moorti puja is anti gurmat.....correct so it would be anti sikhi to sell moortis of gurus....like whitefalcon.com or something ( i think it was, based in NM) so why is it anti sikhi to sell ganesh moorti for example.

It is antisikhi to do moorti puja or even bowing in front of gurus photos and buy them . maybe less than ten percent of gursikhs have never done that in their life time ie bow in front of a picture of our gurus.

what would you say to millionaire gursikhs who own gas stations selling ciggarettes and liquor store owners.

i am just opening a discussion

i can have that tolshop section off , i have not made a dime of it yet. thanks for exploring because i was not aware of that, as they sell over 3-4000 items.

i would appreciate your responses
