I have heard kachhera should cover the knee cap area and the leg hole should be narrow enough to not move any upper than the knee even when tried to pull up . And kachhera circumference should be 3 times the circumference of waist. is it true ?

Yes x3 circumference is fine. I only said x2 for a rough idea

You’re right it should go down to knee and be narrow not to get pulled too high. But most people wear ready made kacheras which fit badly. Probably because of low cost considering they can rip easily and need replacing soon.

With tailored kacheras, they can make it perfect. A good tailor will measure you and know how much extra to add

Btw I’m talking about kachera for bana/gatka. For daily at home you can buy cheap cotton kacheras a bit shorter like boxers. They are still stitched diagonally as kachera should be. Like this: http://www.khalsastore.com/Sikh-accessories/kachera?product_id=5173
