nothing to teach but u can learn it by listening.
if some of u already know how to do kirtan or juz anybody know how to play harmonium and copy or create new tunes then its very easy.
i do kirtan in akj and i like it too much.
i also leanred it by listening.
juz do simplest tunes do in simple style in begning.
it all depends on singh on tabla and the saadh sangat.
when all recite togather then it goes jatha style (akj)
and juz u have to learn that how u have to naam simran during kirtan .
juz listen to simran tracks in the post in kirtan section.
juz choose any one and u can fit it into ur shabad when ever the any line of baani says NAAM OR JAP OR SIMAR ETC.......

it's ESSENTIALLY as simple as doing the same shabad you do, but allowing sangat to repeat it after you, as opposed to doing khaali tunes and stuff....
it'd probably also help for the sangat who's sitting with you to sing along as opposed toj ust listeinng

1. Keep the tune simple (let sangat repeat after u)
2. Get a wkd Simran tune and work it in
3. Be spontaneous, if you feel like doing simran, or adding in a shabad JUS DO IT!
