There are many stories of Nanaki's deep and devoted affection for her brother, Nanak. Five years older then Guru Nanak, she was the first to recognize his spiritual eminence and to become his devotee. She protected Nanak from their father's wrath, when repeatedly he disappointed and a…

One Day a good woman said something that hurt her best friend of many years. She regretted immediately and would have done anything to take back those thoughtless words. Close as she and her friend were, she hadn't considered the effects of her hasty action. What the woman said hurt her friend so much that she herself felt the pain she had caused. In an effort to undo what she had done, she went to a village elder for advice. The older woman listened patiently to determine just how sincere she was, then asked "What are you willing to do to repair the damage done?" The answer was heartfelt: "Anything!" There are two things you need to do to make amends. The first is extrem…

WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH I found this i thought it was inspiring so i posted it... Words can leave holes.... There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father a…

so this morning as i was doing japji saahib, i knowit by heart so i came to "kidrat kavan kahaa vichaar vaariya na jaavaa ek vaar..." which, btw, is a beatiful line in its own right. my question is, after reading about so many "grammar" rules in the word of the day topics on W!N forums, i wanted to know if "vichaar" (vavaa nu sihaari) has any difference to "veechaar" (vavaa nu bihaari), even if the meanings are the same, but if origins are different or context slightly different, please do inform me. anyone who has this gyaan, please share  vaheguruji ka khalsa vaheguruji ki fateh
