So I brought this up in a different post, so I just finished my Japji paath, could not sleep today, its like 4.23 am. Anyway I wanted to understand more of pauri 20, so I went to two random websites and two different translations. What was interesting one looks pure literal translation the other seems Idiomatic translation. Think we need to unify this somehow. You shall harvest what you plant. O Nanak, by the Hukam of the Divine Command, we come and go in reincarnation. | 20 | https://www.sikhdharma.org/japji-sahib-translations/ What you sow is what you shall eat …

Whenever I hear of Sikh's praises in India or from abroad, one recurring theme is "Sikhs are very hardworking people" . Heck , I even seen a video in which Indira gandhi praised sikh community for its hard work. Now anyone can be hardworking , if they have that mental state and the grit. But is there a particular application of Sikhi faith that makes us so ? also not all sikhs are hardworking, and there're religious sikhs who're lazers too . So , what trait is it that , what principle of Gurbani helps us become so ?

People often say revenge is never good and that if someone does something bad to you. You should just walk away. But if that is the case. Then why do we punish people if they commit crimes against others. Is that not some kind if revenge? Many other times people are still not jailed for their crimes. If this is the case then people can walk all over you. And all you do is turn the other cheek.
