Since June this year, many people have again gone back to their usual routines, and all the hype about 25 Years since the Sikh Holocaust has seemed to die down? This year is not the just 25 years since the indian government attacked the hearts of the Sikhs, but the time when all Sikhs should stand up and say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH". We are, with Maharaj's Kirpa, still continuing the seva we started 6 months ago, and hope to continue our work. We feel that we should give others the opportunity to help do something, as we have seen many people frustrated with no route to achieve any cumulative results. Now Project 25 are in urgent need of someone to do some seva for the Pan…

Haven't finished watching the whole talk yet but some interesting points being made. The importance of introducing our children to the problems faced in the community from a young age in a way which they can process it. Bhai Jaswant Singh Khalra jis daughter says how from a very young age her father would take her and her siblings to conferences discussing what was going on in Punjab in the 90s and introduced them to Punjabi activists of the time. I think a lot of parents seem to shield their children from all the gritty stuff from the past and present and decide to teach them about it when they are in their teens and clearly not interested.

Guru Nanak Dev ji started a new religion on one principle. Ek Onkar. His followers still don't follow that principle. They still cannot have faith in ONE. Lots of them believe in pseudo scriptures which believes in multiple devtas and devis like Hindus including worshipping Chandi. Can Sikhs ever become ONE in just following ONE.

Fateh All, We have now moved the forum successfully on the new server but as mentioned the domain name (sikhsangat.com) is still pointing to the old server. Therefore i am using this temporary url which already points to the new server for the next day or two until the old url becomes fully active.

If so, what bigger thing for ours and others freedom is there than the anti-capitalist protests on right now. Occupy Wall-street (USA - http://occupywallst.org/) & Occupy London (UK - http://occupylsx.org/). If we truly are not sheep's of the system and want to follow the principles of the guru's, shouldn't we as groups (from local Gurudwara's from around the country start meeting and joining forces, then continue into the protest? Then perhaps people might also realise the Sikh people are human activists, which no one is aware of?). It may seem daunting, but are we not supposed to rise against tyranny which is now the people in power (who care not for the average pe…

Stop Religious Profiling in US Airports Michael Chertoff Secretary of Homeland Security U.S. Department of Homeland Security Washington, D.C. 20528 Dear Secretary Chertoff, We are writing to you because we are very concerned about a recent policy shift in screening procedures for the Sikh turban in United States airports. It is our understanding that on August 4, 2007, the Transportation Security Administration ("TSA") changed a longstanding policy on security screenings, recommending that passengers with turbans be pulled aside for secondary searches. This means that millions of Sikh travelers will be singled out based on their religious practice, violating the spi…
