Minty Breath while simran?

WkkWkf, I recently started doing sirmran, I am still on the first stage for most of the time I guess ( repition with my tongue ). Of recent I've noticed the back of throat feels very minty/fresh . Is this because my mouth is open (since I'm reciting) for most of the time while I do simran? Also whenever I start my simran, I notice in the beginning I go through emotional ups and downs. Does this happen to anyone else? Am I doing something wrong? Thank you

Our family lives in the west, and our upbringing was not very religious at all, apart from going to Gurdwara once a week. Waheguru ji ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh Please could someone help me with some questions. - I have a Christian name. Can I have naam sanskar with amrit sanchar, if so how do I request this? I spoke to a granthi ji at Singh Sabha Gurdwara Southall, who did not understand why I wanted a new name? SSA, Hi everyone. Well I have been unemployed for quite a while now. Which is bad enough on its own. But my last 2 interviews have left me feeling quite bad. on both occasions i got the feeling that the interviewers where racist. I got quite a few snidely looks ect. is this due to the current climate. ie with 'Asians' all over the papers for bad stuff . and white people reading the papers everyday about how bad Asians are? ive never felt this amount of hatred before. ie i have many white friends in the past. but now i just feel totally different about white people and how racist they can be.

Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it. -
Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well.
