From a young age I was always active within my Gurdwara commuity, and with Maharaj's kirpa and my Mahapurakh's help, I have been able to retain that and also become Amritdhari. After I became amritdhari, I developed immense love for Maharaj, which my parents were unfamiliar with, and it seems as if whenever I want do to something Sikhi-related, they become reluctant and say 'focus on your exams'. okay, i used to be into sikhi a year back and went gudwara, since then i have entered a sort of slow downward spiral, i am wondering if anyone else has any advice on how to get back into a sikhi routine. i am keshdari, teenager, when i got into sikhi didnt drink but have drank alcohol a few times, one the new year was a mark of a whole year i hadnt eaten any meat, although i eat eggs and fish on my mums advice that i keep up protein, any advice to get back into sikhi?

In Afghanistan there used to be prominent Sikh and Hindu communities living along side the Muslim majority. As time went on things got worse. Taliban took over and Hindus and Sikhs were forced to wear yellow arm bands to identify themselves, similar to Jews in Germany! Me and my Hindu and Sikh relatives now live in Southall. Hi Well I have a BIGG PROBLEM basically i want to be a proper gursikh, but there is one thing that is really annoying- KAAM! So I follow my Sikhi, but the only thing is that once I am in school all I can't help but stare at girls *edit*! I know it’s bad, and then I end up getting so *edit* i ma*edit* I know that I shouldn’t but i can’t help it, also once you have to sit next to them or if they are in the same class. So what can i do? That can help me stop thinking about *edit* whenever I look at a girl. And I have to because I always have to sit next to one, or they are just around me, I try and move but I’m put in a situation were I’m not allowed. HELP!

back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
