Ok so i live in Amritsar, i try to be good sikh evryday by trying to understand the bani logically, because, we know evrything in SGGS is logical and nothing is Chamatkar and all, I never knew that we celebrate Guru Nanak's Marriage in Batala at gurudwara Kandh Sahib, did'nt know we even have Melas and all on his marriage. Sp the questions are :- Why Do we celebrate only Guru Nanak's Marriage ? why not other guru's marriages ? Is the story about Kandh sahib historically accurate ? I've just recently gotten into Sikhi, and need help dealing with a problem at home. I don't know what to do. My brother recently had his "gf" move into our home. She is not an apne, she is Muslim. She always makes rude remarks towards me, if I tell her to do one simple thing she will over exaggerate everything to my brother who will then yell at me, and sometimes even resort to violence. I barely talk now a days. She also steals my clothes and shoes, because she knows I can't do anything about it. I told my parents about it and they don't care. WGK-WGF I wanted know if Sikh guys are allowed to participate in the UFC and if there are any famous fighters. I think it'll be a good way to revive our warrior ancestry and good example to future generations? The sullehs are always involved with martial arts/boxing and they are always promoting their religion in the world stage. If they can, why can't we do it.. is there any UFC laws to say Sikhs/religious observing people cant? I was wondering does anyone know how to tie a comfortable round turban that is like a dhumalla, but not really a dhumalla. I tie the folded uk pagh but looks more like sgpc pagh because it has more larhs ( 6 to 7) . I kind of want to stay away from the pagh, everyone thinks I look too desi, and its big in size I am not amritdhari, but wish to one day. I recently got married in Punjab however my wife is still in India. We are getting on reasonably okay apart from some issues I am having. Not sure if these are cultural issues. vjk vjkf, Is there anyone here who is really really fluent in punjabi, like how they are in english. I can speak punjabi decently, but i still stutter sometimes, eat words, and sometimes break the flow of a conversation. Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras.
