Now I am beginning to get a sense that my sis in law does'nt know her own identity. She observed and did the fast of Hindus, and now she sent me a text for happy dushera, I sent her a text back with Happy Gurpurub of Guru Ram Das ji! She is loosing her marbles, and at one point at my friends house I said are you eating she goes no and I said why, she goes shes fasting and cant eat onion and garlic and some other stuff and cant touch what we have eat, and in front of my friends she embarassed me as she is a Sikh. I respect everyones believe but to go to that length what she does is beyond me, what advice would you give and what can I do? She rarely listens and doesnt l…

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I am a married male considering taking my amrit shortly. My wife fully supports my decision, recites path daily and too would like to take amrit at some point. My question is, is it essential that my wife and I take amrit at the same time or is it ok for me to take amrit and her to do so when she feels ready to. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Sikhi And Adoption
by Guest .......- 8 replies

Just want to like everyone's view on adopting children. I'm all for it and thinks there is nothing wrong with it, i know some people are against it. But why can't a Sikh Amritdhari couple adopt if they want? Why do some people in Sikh society find it unacceptable. There are so many children Sikh children in India that need a home, family, love, support etc. Just want everyone's view on this.

Hello, I am an Indian Sikh, I mention Indian because there is a gulf of difference between Indian and Foreign Sikhs, and I have never come across Sikhs here supporting Khalistan but why do Canadian or British or American Sikhs support Khalistan? They live abroad, and I hope they continue to live abroad and they do not have any right to demand on our behalf a state which we the people living in India are against. Thanks

Disrespecting Gurbani
by Guest Merigalti- 2 replies

I saw this on the emcg website. Asli foods disrespecting Gurbani by using it to help advertise and putting it on their leaflets. People found the leaflets on the floor. Could everyone please refrain from putting Gurbani on leaflets that will end up on floors. It is even more upsetting when people use it to advertise busnesses. http://www.emcg.co.uk/feedback/#MTC_form
