Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh Does anyone know of any Santhiya class's run by Taksal in Birmingham? I need to learn from scratch and want to start learning asap as I feel ashamed that I cant read Maharajs pavitar bani shudh. I know of Punjabi class's but theyre run just to learn Punjabi not Gurmukhi so theyre no good to me. Please help a Singh out.

I know that we are allowed to drink milk, but whenever i mention this to anyone asking me about sikhism they always turn around and say, do you eat eggs? and i say, no, and then they ask why. i know that eggs and different to milk but im not sure how. can somebody please give me a logical reason or argument that i can use when im asked this. (please dont start to argue, i dont want this topic to get closed. i just want to know the reason behind why ive been told to stop eating eggs) thanks and sorri for the stupid question

Mine was a love marriage to a non-sikh after my parents accepted after lots of persuasion. my hubby is a real nice guy by heart. we love each other a lot. Its been 2 years since we got married. my family is completely into sikhi & even now i do paath & don't cut my hair as i was before marriage. but now i feel i have betrayed Guruji by marrying someone out of sikhi. 1) What is the definition of Jooth? (Depending on this answer) 2)When we take Amrit why are we not allowed to share food with/eat with/eat from/eat from the same plate as a non-Amritdhari? (I can hear Tubelight saying 'basic hygiene people!' which leads onto 3) Why does this Jooth business not apply to family? i.e. mothers eating from a child's plate/husbands and wives sharing food 4) Is Jooth only related to food? What if an Amritdhari had to have a blood transfusion in hospital and the donor's blood was from a non-Amritdhari? Somebody help me please, cheers.

back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
