yeah so my bro jus put the channel on randomly after wed bin sittin there 4 10 hrs srt8 watchin tv. there wer loads of hindus n this main guy sittin on sum stage in the middle of nowhere. n basicly we saw them chanting the gurmantarrrrrrrrrr. Lately, I'm not sure if I'm coming towards or going away from Sikhi. I use to have sangat but they made me feel guilty for things I didn't even do, always accuzing me. They made me loose my confidence completely and I always left feeling horrible about myself and in general. I wouldn't be able to concentrate in anything, specially paath, and would just keep thinking about whatever conflict ocured and what they said to me and how they hurt me. Before this started, I used to do lots of paath, but then with increasing conflict in the sangat, my paath declined because I couldn't concentrate and always felt depressed and stuff about what was going on. vjkk vjkf I suck at rehat! i can't wake up at amritvela. I don't read bani (i always try to avoid it). I feel soo sad and everything. I can't even do ardass. I suck at being a sikh and i feel as if i'm lying to my self and guru ji. I'm too addicted to video games. Not enough into sikhi. Every time I go to do simran (only to please parents and my sangat friends) i dress up acting like a sikh but i can't. University is starting soon and i really want someone to love me and all that. My dad past away but my mom trys to force me into doing bani when i don't want to. I don't know what to do cyber sangat. PLEASE HELP!!

Leaving aside Guru ji, the general question of taking afeem (opium) in limited quantities for war/medical wounds is simply unproblematic. When you go to the hospital, they give you morphine. What do you think morphine is? It's an opiate. Even codeine (cough syrup) is an opiate! Ever had a cough? Granted, it is against Gurmat to take opium or other drugs for the fun of it. -
Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well.
