meeting with the Lord, he has erased his self-conceit. ||4||6||

its metaphorical.

when we meet Him, then our task is completed.

so you've acheived the goal in life by becoming one/meeting with Akhal Purakh

people say it is good to live forever

but without dying there is no life

there is so much more to life then here and now, the best is yet to come :TH:

So now, what sort wisdom should I contemplate and preach?

As I watch, worldly things dissipate. ||1||Pause||

upon realisiation that this is not the be all and worldy matters are no longer important..

and i think the next bit is like the "impossible" which relates to the beginning part that "there is no life without death",

Saffron is ground up, and mixed with sandalwood;

saffron is like really expensive and usually sold pure, its been mixed with sandalwood

without eyes, the world is seen.

you cant "see" without eyes

The son has given birth to his father;

impossible.

without a place, the city has been established.

you need foundations on which to build a city

The humble beggar has found the Great Giver,

but he is unable to eat what he has been given.

He cannot leave it alone, but it is never exhausted.

He shall not go to beg from others any longer

The "begger" has found their support, the support whoch he does not leave, nor does that support

grow tired of us, there is no need to search for more.

Those select few, who know how to die while yet alive, enjoy great peace.

Kabeer has found that wealth;

think this may be referring to "merging" with God throughout our life, possibly through samaadhi

meeting with the Lord, he has erased his self-conceit. ||4||6||

we become good :nihungsmile:

_________________________________

I think the line "the son has given birth to his father" was causing you th most confusion, but labels such as "father" "son" "mom" etc r superficial...i dont think that was the best word to use, but you know what i mean, hopefully this will make it clearer; also by Bhagat Kabeer ji

mwq ipqw BweI suq binqw khhu koaU hY kw kw ]1] rhwau ]

Mother, father, siblings, children and spouse - tell me, who belongs to whom? ||1||Pause||

whole shabad here

hmmm hope that helped, although probably not, and you'd do well not to quote me on anything since im a silly moorakh who knows next to nothing about sikhi

:D
