What should I do if I’m in the middle of my nitnem and have been force to eat something and then eat it to avoid an argument? Shall I carry on my nitnem? Should I stop reading bani? This happens to me on a regular basis with my mum who has anger issues. I can’t tell her no or else she’ll scream the house down and start swearing at me. It’s here way or there high way. I don’t know what to do! I need help! Tell what to do!

Please help how can I stop this or why is it happening
by Guest Illusion- 2 replies

I’m finding it super hard as since I was young I have dreamt / daydreamed about someone in a romantic way. I am now married with kids but yet this person pops up. Is this just the panj chor playing tricks? I don’t think it’s mental health as there is no other issue. I feel like my mind is living an illusion in an illusion. Why am I experiencing this. Other than this with Simran in finding I can control other things better now such as anger, judgement, forgiving etc.... just this won’t go.

India has finally discovered the Nihung Singhs
by Guest jigsaw-puzzled-singh- 2 replies

This farmers protest has thrown up some curious developments. The most obvious is the way in which different regions and peoples have put aside past animosities and embraced each other. For example I never thought I'd see the day in which Haryanvis describe Punjab as their big brother but I've lost count how many times I have heard them say that over the course of the last few days. And.....then there is the curious case of the Nihangs. After they showed up at the Singhu border a few days ago Indian channels, especially South Indian channels who had never seen or heard of a nihang before, have been doing newscast after newscast about what they describe as fascinating peo…

I'm having trouble on what to do in situations where others people's stupidity is costing them a lot, and if i let it happen im gaining a lot (at little loss to them), but if i stop it (which i kind of feel is the right thing to do), i gain nothing at then no loss to them. When people be idotic, for example if i buy something and the guy says itll be here sunday (and today is friday night and they dont deliver on a sunday), and i then say ok but if its not here by sunday then unfortunately it will be too late and i cant pay you for it (this has cost them shipping costs remember but they dont seem to care, they are also asking for payment after i recieve the it…

2nd gen Radha soamis in sikh families
by Guest Mr Lynx- 2 replies

Hi fam, I would like to address 2nd gen RS children and their impact within modern "sikh" families... IMO none of their children have any general empathy or connection towards sikhs and cant relate to sikhi or in most cases brown people. In the west they usually end up marrying anyone but sikhs & look upon brown people as "freshies" or less than human. There are many modern cases where their girls will often marry black, white or non sikh men & will be outwardly celebrated by their parents. Are RS using the sikh faith to forward their own agenda, monetary or politically based? Also why do anti sikh cults get a pass in this day &…

So I uploaded a topic similar to this but I am still confused. So let’s get to the point, people say looking at videos of attractive females is lust because your not thinking about Naam and that your forgot my Naam. But aren’t we forgetting Naam when we take a school test or when we watch a movie. Because technically we are really focused on the test in school or the movie we are watching, so isn’t that technically lust too? When you take a test in school , the test take all your awareness towards it. Even when you watch a movie, the movie takes all your awareness too but people don’t consider both of these things lust, but they consider watching attractive females videos…

Hi can anyone help me find the original text of the following Dasam Bani: “He who repeats night and day the name of Him,Who has full love and confidence in God,Who bestows not a thought on anv but one God,Whose enduring light is inextinguishable,Who puts no faith in fasting and worshipping cemeteries and monasteries,Who only recognises the one God and makes no fetish, Of pilgrimages, alms, charities and austerities:He is recognised as a true member of the Khalsa,In whose heart the light of the Perfect One shines.”

Kirpan Help
by Guest Hardeep1400- 1 follower

I am really lost and I truly regretting a decision I made a few months back of no longer wearing a kirpan while I wear all my other kakkars. I took amrit at a young age and my love for sikhi is still strong and everything was fine until the past year around when I reached 17 to 19 years of age. I got mixed with the wrong crowd and lost track of my nitnem although i did not take part in any activity including doing drugs or kaam. Just a few month back out of shame I stopped wearing my kirpan since I felt guilty for not doing my nitnem while wearing my kirpan. It didn't sit well with me to portray my bana when I had no bani. Since then I hav started to get back on track and…

Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fathe I once went for a massage, but did not realise it wasn't an authentic place until later. ——- deleted——— I Am confused whether this is considered as par istree da sang or not. Whether I should confess to panj pyare and take amrit again? I took hukamnama To clear my doubt Ang 595 Sorath m 1 ghar 1 Man haali kirsanni karnni saram paanni tan khet. Please let me know your views. Because there is a amrit sanchar happening tomorrow in the nearby gurudwara.
