Apparently there has been a sikh rebellion. There is an article here: http://www.marxists.org/archive/roy-evelyn/articles/1922/sikh.htm I find the article offensive, how do we get it removed?

arghhh this is messed up. A sikh regiment would have been a wicked idea, especially with sangat all round, I would have defo joined up aswell!! In the old Sikh regiment during the empire days, the Generals recognised the power of amrit and would only take on soldiers who were Khalsa, the regiment was also allowed 4 hours daily to do meditation and sewa of Guru Sahib!! Its a shame that the pc brigade have put that plan to waste :umm: http://www.sikhsangat.org/news/publish/eur...ism_fears.shtml

Sikh Research Institute
by Guest gurjeet- 4 replies

Sikh Research Institute has created a monopoly and this organization is continuously disgracing and misrepresenting the Sikh religion as a whole. It is time for this to stop. They charge hefty fees on everything from Sojhi books to attending their programs. This is not seva. This is a profit making business run by some crooks. These are self proclaimed Gursikhs who are simply out to make money off of the Sikh religion. Those who run the program are mean spirited, power hungry, and absolute hypocrites. These people are attempting to change the Sikh religion through so called "authentic intellectual research." They have spread pro-meat ideology and because of this, many …

It is for women from BME backgrounds who are needing therapeutic support in helping them cope with the struggles they may be facing in life. Sikh Society (Post University)
by Guest Venture- 5 replies

Hi, I graduated from University a number of years ago. Sikh Society's are usually present at Uni for students. I have been thinking about starting a sikh society at my local gurdwara for people who have left uni and still want to connect with other sikhs. I thought it would be a good way to meet new people too as often, even though we all go the same gurdwara, you usually don't end up getting to know everyone there. Do you think this is a good idea? If so, what sort of things could be held at such a society? Spiritual, religious talks, social events (outside of the gurdwara, obviously non drinking things) such as trips to london eye, museums, ice skating etc? Wh…
