Vaheguroo ji ka khalsa, Vaheguroo ji ki fateh, I was talking with a veerji who happens to be a gora just the other day, and he said something that really disturbed me... the only thing i could think is share it with sangat and try to find a solution? He came into Sikhi some years ago. He told me that he's sick of having punjabi sikhs assuming he belongs to 3HO cause he's white. He says he's Just a regular Sikh of the Guru, doesnt want to belong and does not belong to any Jatha, and that it insults him when sikhs ask him if he knows "yogi bhajan, and yoga" and stuff. VJKK VJKF I have 2 problems. My friends at school are Sikh. They are very supportive of me practising to take amrit. The only problem is that they swear (a lot). I am really close to them and I can trust them with everything. There aren't any other Sikhs and especially not any practising Sikhs. My second problem is that in my school there is a year7 girl (I am in year9) I feel so sorry for her because I think she has cancer and she is in a wheelchair. She has no friends. Would you ever date a non religious person? I am not speaking about an atheist, but more so someone who is not very religious. Let’s say they let you stay close to your religion & culture and are ok with passing down your culture/values to future children. Do you think that’s ok? I think I’ve met the perfect person however he’s not very religious. He belongs to a different culture however our cultures are similar and compatible. All of my values line up and they are extremely respectful.

WJKK WJKF I have a problem i wish to get some advice on. When we have family backstabbing and putting you down what can you do? When you get family members coming in between and mother and son, finding out gossip and tearing them apart, you cant just sit there and watch. When my granddad passed away, a certain family member has been turning my grandma away from my dad. Now all she does put my dad down to other family members regardless of how well my dad treats her. When you are listening to prayers such as on You tube do you always have to have your head covered? Is it ok to do homework, eat whilst listening? Another q can you just ask God for what you want by covering your head and asking after praying or is it only if you do certain prayers? I have been depressed for months and have exams have been praying everyday and asking my mum to pray for me to get better. i was reading the views regarding marriage. It is true most sikh girls now want clean shaven men if the ads are seen. The jat community preferes only jats. They are not ready to go out of their caste. Yeah, that's one possibility. Another I initially thought is that it's a Muslim trying to gather info. But then, you might ask, how does he know about Sikh textual sources. Well, you'd be surprised at their resourcefulness. A final possibility is he's a weak Sikh who was asked a question by a non-Sikh and now he's suddenly feverishly wondering where it's "written" that you can't marry a young child. To the latter, I would say, you're looking in the wrong spot. back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -
