is it wrong for a sikh to smoke? i wana try n turn to sikh but i feel like i cant cos i smoke? i tryed to do my bit 4 months ago by doin "paart" but i jus cant get myself to do it now cos i feel so low about my self HELP

wjkk wjkf hi, urmmm im about 18yrs old and in college... when i get stressed out i feel the need to smoke, i know that it is really bad but i cnt help it.. i ahvent smoken for a while but i always get a familiar feeling when i am either stressed or sometimes if i get depressed... how do i stop this? i have anger problems that sometimes make me want to smoke help WJKK WJKF

im a regular smoker (shisha) although from an amritaree family ive never really looked into sikhi but due to recent events i find sikhi has soo much relevance to my life and a big part of my life is getting together with friends and smoking shisha even though i know its wrong i was just wondering what banee says about smoking

i have 2 sperate friends one smokes the other one drinks. the smokin friend wants to quite n turn theior focus towards sikhi but is doing this while they are smoking they have cutt down a lot..my question is it wrong to smoke while u are doing prayers the other one drinks and jus doesnt care.. the most that they will turn to sikhi is if i make conversatioin bout it n even that doesnt go that that far!!

My non-sikh friend smokes, and I believe that even though the friend smokes....that friend shouldn't do so on the day of going to the the Gurdwara as they want to come with me to the gurdwara to see what it is like , the friend wants to come but the friend but argues that before a shower it would surely be okay...what are your thoughts on this?

About a few months before pahul my nitnem was chardikala Panj granthi added and other baniyan maharaj kirpa. after Amrit and drirr I could really feel the difference, Saas Saas simran was happening a couple days after and I would wake up in the middle of the night and just automatically doing simran. well I had the flipping cold and just a couple of days after Amrit sanchar (last Saturday, got the flu on Monday) I was just such a Manmukh that I stopped doing the Hukam of 2 hours simran and cut it down to 45 mins and cut my nitnem down to 5 baniyan. now my flu has gone but I can’t concentrate for even 10 mins without looking at my phone to see…

Why are there soo many different religions in da world? I've heard dat all religions are equal and there's onli one god. But then if das tru, then why are there all these different religions? And if dat was true, well then you could pick any religion and follow it, cuz all religions are equal riight?..but i don't get it, cuz like i know dat christians say that jesus is the only way to heaven, but then in sikhi duznt it say dat all religions are equal..what was the purpose of god to make so many different religions if he wanted us to have faith in him and go to the same place..why didnt he jus make all of us sikh or christian or wtv :lol: @

I have question so I need to do pesh and I really needed EVERYONES EXPERIENCE TO TELL ME that when you pesh has anyone ever had to pesh with sangat in the same room as panj pyare, or are they always calling person one by one to come to the room to talk and pesh. wjkk wjkf okay so i lived in birmingham for all my life, all my friends family and everything was set, we lived next to a gurdwara and we used to go regularly and everthing was good and there was a big sikh community, but recently i had to move to move up north coz my dad got a good job there so i had to leave birmingham and leave everyone and start all over basically, and so i did, ive been living here for a year now and ive made friends and school and everything but ive started to dred going to the gurdwara...i live close to a gurdwara here too but considering there arnt much sikhs up here theres not much sangat in the gurdwara's, and coz theres little sangat everyone …

back then was waaaay different. ppl didn’t attend higher education or have much to do after the age of like… 13, lol. you’d have 13 year olds boys and girls that know how to do kethi, cook entire meals, etc nowadays even 22 year olds are extremely immature and can be sheltered. the average person doesn’t know how to do anything except their 9-5 which they are probably half arsing as well. -

Seriously?? The Dhadi is trying to be cute. For those who didn't get it, he said: "Some say Maharaj killed bakras (goats). Some say he cut the heads of the Panj Piyaras. The truth is that they weren't goats. It was she-goats (ਬਕਰੀਆਂ). He jhatka'd she-goats. Not he-goats." Wow. This is possibly the stupidest thing I've ever heard in relation to Sikhi.
