   Hi, I'm a 25 year old Ramgarhia Sikh living in South East. For the past year my father has been trying to find me a girl and has had no luck. I want to get married but because of my fathers attitude and vindictive nature I fear that he will subject my wife to the same mental torture my mother, brother and I have had to put up with over over lives. Even so I haven't rejected or hindered the search on my part - I am open to all castes. The only rejections that have been done have been from the parents of the girls.    I was just wondering what exactly is the purpose of a mala (beaded bracelet or necklace)? I know that it is often used during meditation but is there a specific reason for this? Does it help you concentrate? And is there any other signficance beyond this? Any replies would be greatly appreciated!

   i think i am mentally scarred and scared ...as the other penji in previous post i have suffered harrasment from a giani and its turning me off sikhi and loosin faith :wub: i dont want to lose trust and faith in babaji but i think slowly i am... i am afraid of goin to the gurdwara sometimes but sometimes its okay as i feel brave enough, but this happend at a young age and has had an affect on me and my life, i dont have confidence in myself and i realy wish i did, i have only told 1 person about this but i doubt anything can be done because people wudnt believe me "you where only a child" i cant take it, why would babaji want a giani to do that? why to a child? it makes …

   Wjkk Wjkf!! Hey, isn't it true that Guru Ji said to cover your hair at all times. People did back then and some people still do now. But Guru Ji didn't say your HEAD hair, he just said hair. So I know alot of us have hair on our arms, face, etc. including myself. And also your eyebrows too? Shouldn't we cover that hair too? And if people didn't do that back then, I think that's because people didn't have hair on their arms etc back then. Am I not correct? And if I am wrong, please give reference from the Guru Granth Sahib Jee. Please forgive me if I have made any mistakes or offended anyone in any way! Wjkk Wjkf!! :wub:

    Waheguru ji ka khalsa, Waheguru ji ki fateh I have been under a lot of stress lately, but am one of those people who tend to listen to others instead of talk. Yesterday morning, i woke up with pain going all through my body, and it is still here right now. I have not done sort of excerise or rigourous activity which would triger such pain. It is in my back, neck and shoulders, and i feel like i cant even move. Could it be that since my mind is undergoing so much stress that in order to reliease it my body is feeling so much pain?     i have a problem... i cant sleep! i havnt slept in ages i seem to sleep roughly an hour a nite and have sharp pain in my head and seeing as i dont sleep i feel a wreck in the day n soo unlively which is not like me... Its a problem because i feel soo sleepy in the day and just want everything my way n be grumpy and fall asleep in lessons its a painn as i got exams and cousework to do. i do not smoke or drink soo i cant seem to think what it is... apart from a few thingz that may be on mynd but they're nothing major... if ne1 has anyy advice i wud much appriciate it...
