Fateh Sangat Ji, I seriously need some help. For the past couple of days I'm getting so angry and <Edited> off even jelousy kicks in at times. Even little things get at me. I dont know why this happens. I try calming myself down by doin Simran Jaap and mt Paaht, it's ok for a while, but then I start to kick off again. It's just the smallest of smallest things that piss me off and get me swearing. (Like my siblings etc...) I dont want to swear because I'm planning on taking Amrit but before I take Amrit I want to take this Krodh & jelousy out of me. But I'm seeming to get no where with it. Can my brothers and sisters please help me oversome this problem? Fate…

Remember when Guru Nanak Dev Ji went to Mecca and had his feet positioned towards the mosque, and the lesson we learnt was that God is everywhere. Then how comes when we go to the Gurdwara, it is a must that we sit cross-legged? I know this is out of respect but Waheguru exists everywhere right? So aren't we somewhat contradicting here? A question I've thought of quite frequently.

I've noticed that there is many Amritdhari Singhs and Singhnis who have relationships with each other. Is this right? I am an amritdhari Singh and this Amritdhari Singhni asked me out many times but I think it isn't a right thing to do. One excuse she makes is that I bring her closer to Sikhi and I just don't know anymore I am so confused.

Sangat jio, I've came across this man who is a sikh, he wears both Turban and Kara and has a chain round his neck with Guru Gobind Singh Ji's picture, and where did i see him? Lieing on the road, drunk. Now I didnt find this right, so what I done was i took his Kara off and his chain off. I was going to take his pagh off but stopped, because I thought it's not right taking someone elses Pagh off. So I wanted to know that if a man like him is creating Beadbi of sikhi put together is it right to touch his Pagh and take it off? Please Sangat Ji I dont want to fight or start an argument on this topic I just need some advice whether what I done was right or wrong? Thankyou …

waheguru jee ka khalsa waheguru jee ke fateh for some time now, ive been wanting to take amrith..but im not sure if im ready...it seems as though ever since i got very much into sikhi(last year or so) that ive become less social, dont talk much to the old crowd i used to hang around with, and have lost my ambition and competettive nature. i was talking to my dad, and hes a smart guy, and said that he doesnt want me to be one of those people who dont want to be successful or suceed too much ( like be soo humble that you dont do anything). he believes that one should be successful and not have ego, so when people so you, they ask who is that? and people respond that is …

A friend said to me that if a girl/women is menstruating she is forbidden to go to the Gurdwara and take part in seva (preparing langar) or go near the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. This has got me scared and now every time I menstruate I dont tend to go to the Gurdwara and then produce a guilty conscience for not going. I need to clear this minsunderstanding regarding sikh girls/women. I've heard so many times that if a Sikh girl/women is menstruating they're not allowed near the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, or in the Gurdwara or even allowed to serve or make the Langar. Is this true or is this just a myth/tabboo?

Amrit Shak Singh who drink alchohol 1 2 3

I need some advise plz. I know of a man who is Amrit Shak but drinks alchohol and eats meat regularly. His parents are well respected Amrit Shak members of the community as are his grandparents. He acts religious in front of his family but is drinking alchohol and eating meat when not with his family. His parents praise him everywhere they go although a lot of the people around them now know of his acts as he is regularly seen in various pubs and clubs. His actions show he has no respect for his family but even worse what respect must he have for Guru Ji's teachings. What should be done about this individual?

Left Speechless!

Vaheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa! Vaheguroo Ji Ki Fateh! I was listening to some katha this morning on "visaho daan" as in the 7 daan mentioned in the ardaas: "sikhi daan, kes daan, rehat daan, bibek daan, visaho daan, bharosa daan, daana sir daan naam daan." Visaho daan is unfaltering faith in the greatness of our Guroo Ji. The kathavaachik gave examples of Sikhs in the past who had such faith, for example, Bhai Joga Ji when he realised that Guroo Gobind Singh Ji was all-knowing and had protected him during the night from commiting any sins due to the vice of kaam. This made me wonder, what sort of things have happened to people today that increases the amount of "visaho daan"…
