veer ji, this maryada has been going on at sri harmandir sahib for CENTURIES , read singh sahib giani kirpal singh ( ex jathedar akal thakat) book on maryada and ithaas of darbar sahib.. after ishnan sewa the doors of darshani deori open, and half of asa di vaar is started, then a shabad for darshan is done ( i.e. darshan ko bal jaee, etc) during this time maharaj comes from sri kotha sahib in palki to sachkhand harmandir sahib. when the narsingha horn is blown the ragis stop kirtan all the sangat stands up and does satnam sri vaheguru jaap. maharaj comes inside and sits on their throne. premi singhs who have a permanant duty @ Darbar sahib do ' bhatta de swayeeay' while parkash is going on.. granthi singh sahib starts sewa....after the 1st ramala is taken off the granthi sahib puts guru sahib on their sees and uses a sort of cotton wool type sponge with has alot of perfume on it, 1st of all to take all the creases out of the white ramala and also make it smell nice. this is done on all the white ramaleh after to take out creases and give scent to it. after this the ramaleh are folded and 3 pillows placed on top.. when ham avgun bhare comes granthi singh does parkash etc hukamnama. after hukamnama 2-3 shabads are done then anand sahib and ardaaas for 1st chaunki of the day and for karaah parshad. after this asa di vaar is started again from where left off and done until sampooranta.

Both channels have spread the message of Sikhi, through Gurbani, Kirtan, Katha, and Gurmantar. However, as far as the Single most biggest unresolved issue for Sikhs is concerned, 1984 and the problems in Punjab, both Channels have not been able to carry out what is required to bring Success. There are many, many clear Vidoes of Maahpurkh Brhamgyani Sant Jaranail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale, and the Mahaan Shaheeds who stood for truth in the face of oppression and injustice until the very end! If both channels starting playing these vidoes and tapes (maybe with relevant photos) everything would fix itself. For two Sikh Channels not to be playing the vidoes and tapes of the Greatest Sikh the world has produced in the last 100 years seems really odd to me. I know Sangat tv played some videos of Sant Ji on a Sunday a while back. Both Channels should be airing Sant Ji's Videos. Why not bring the best the Sikhs have had to offer for well over a hundred years, Sant Ji, to the World?

Yes I could have replied in a more less direct way, however if I did that the message may have been misunderstood. As to answer your question I'm from UK not USA... I have watched and even worked for the channel, as I have with other channels. There is one thing in our culture we tend to do, we don't let others voice there opinions. We think we should keep praising and never let anyone know of the 'dark side'. This is very wrong, this is the reason why nothing ever gets solved. If we don't voice our opinions then how will they improve? Now instead of taking what I have said as a personal insult, as thats what it looks like you have done, the channel in question here could read it and try to improve themselves and prove me wrong. Its called freedom of speech. Its there for a reason. This is why alot of comities and organisations are so corrupt, because every time someone speaks against them they are hushed and made out to be the 'baddy' for speaking the truth. The fact of the matter is that Sangat TV is what I said it is in my previous post. I would like to add that there is a difference between freedom of speech and slandering people on a personal level, and some of you are starting to slander each other which is not acceptable. To the guy who is bigging up Sikh Channel loads, yes they are doing good at this moment of time, but there was a time when they were not liked by many aswell... instead of doing a direct attack to someone else, stick to topic, if you wanto say something about either channel then say it, but dont slander other people, because that just makes you look foolish. Also don't post random rumers unless you have evidence. Saying stuff like Indian congress backed channel is pointless due to the fact of there being no evidence. I suggest you guys need to sort issues out among yourselves within your local Sikh communities. Posting on an online forum without any substantial or solid evidence, maligning names of people who most on this board don't even know anything about, this isn't going to help. In fact one can get prosecuted for these things if done without any back-up proof. We had several posters claim the news to be a hoax, and then others claiming it as the truth. Dilemma for us as admins and mods is whose word do we take over whose? So again, resolve your clashes at an individual and not cyber level. There is no harm in sitting down and having a civil conversation with those we don't agree with. I am not totally aware of the issues that were mentioned, all I know is we had 2 sides claiming to be right and the other as a liar, and neither had ANY evidence to provide (I did ask for it once myself). I am personally not ready to believe that a Gurdwara Sahib in UK would have Ardas done for Indira Gandhi, but looking at the sad state of affairs today, I wouldn't be surprised if the committee did so either.

I see you lack intelligence to fully comprehend that Sikh community is bigger than your small gang council estate disputes. I've been saying for past few hours, that the Sikh community is bigger than your little disputs. When you drag us all into your mess cos you are fighting a muslim gang who you got beef with you worsen it for every innocent Muslim and Sikh out there because they will be the ones that suffer from your propaganda. When you seee a gurdwara get fire bombed (which is unbearable for us) because you threatened a gang that Sikhs will mash you up without having the balls to shut up and mash them up in secret you become a liability to the panth.
