Thanks for feedback penji, but as i mentioned earlier don't let semantics of pointer (akhar) confine your surti-consciousness, pointer(akhar) is meant to point towards it shabad gyan- bhramgyan not limit you to semantics of it-akhar and thats never the intention of a pointer. As Gurbani says ultimately its not akhar semantics but rather akhar gyan- bhramgyan: ਏ ਅਖਰ ਖਿਰਿ ਜਾਹਿਗੇ ਓਇ ਅਖਰ ਇਨ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ए अखर खिरि जाहिगे ओइ अखर इन महि नाहि ॥१॥ Ė akẖar kẖir jāhige o▫e akẖar in mėh nāhi. ||1|| These letters shall perish; they cannot describe the Imperishable Lord. ||1||

It may take some time for her to come to terms with it and lead a normal life. Let us assume she has just got a little bit of the start of all which a Gurmukh experiences, but like all new experiences - they have to learn to deal with it. Good advice above about getting independent adult support. Consider telling the family you are grateful to them and as you say love them as your own family, but would consider it disrespectful to Sikhi if you adopted it or any faith to secure stable housing and food on the table. Are they suggesting you leave the house if you don't adopt Sikhi? As suggested in posts above you should respect basic house rules. Are you able to get in touch with young Sikh sangat for support? You know you have the right Sikh support if they say you should not feel pressured to adopt SikhI. Reading your post, you are a warrior in life at a young age and you are forced to contemplate the human condition. You obviously have accepted Sikhs as family regardless of your own leanings. Please continue to lean on the wider community, the gurdwara and this forum as you need. You will always be part of the wider Sikh family. In that sense Greg consider yourself loved and adopted by us, and especially us on this forum regardless of your faith as long as you support truth and humanity. You are our child and our little bro with full and equal privileges of family on this forum. Study hard and know we're here anytime you wish to reach out.

How many politicians are not hypocrites. Which politicians do not lie or embellish stuff? You think Aunty Hillary is any better, or the Canadian Ted Cruz? Bernie Sanders was bullied by a bunch of black women when he held a rally in Seattle. Thing about Trump, he is blunt and says things as they are, which is why he is so refreshing to a lot of the electorate. He says a lot of unpopular and anti PC things because in society there is a lot of bhenji-bhenji going on and there is other stuff going on in the undercurrent and he is bringing it to the fore. A lot of people hate it but he is saying thing that needs to be said, he does not need political donors like the others and has nothing to lose.

Just giving an update, since we started this project it's been huge success on youtube especially videos below. The whole reason for doing this, is to increase presence of sikh meditations on youtube in comparison with other dharam meditations which is widely available online and also giving sangat a chance to relax and enjoy these light meditations which can be done anytime. We be updating the list with more meditations videos..i am doing lot of mixes with native american flute, shamanic flute etc with mool mantar or maha mantar as back drop- true underlying reality. Enjoy
