This fool tried to kill a Sikh in 'revenge' for Lee Rigby.... I just heard the brother who was attacked on the radio castigating the police and media for their hypocrisy, saying if this had been a non-white attacking a white it would have been represented as a 'terrorist attack'. Zack Davies, who screamed ‘white power’ as he attacked Dr Sarendev Bhambra. A loner fascinated with far-right ideologies and violent video games has been jailed for life after launching a racially motivated machete and hammer attack on a dentist of Asian origin. Zack Davies, who screamed “white power” as he attacked Dr Sarandev Bhambra in a supermarket, was told he would serve at least 14 years behind bars before being considered for parole. At the time of the attack, Davies claimed he was avenging the death of the soldier Lee Rigby, who was killed by Islamist extremists outside a barracks in south-east London. He also said the British Isis terrorist nicknamed Jihadi John was an inspiration for the attack, which left 24-year-old Bhambra with severe injuries to his head, back and hand. Davies, 26, from Mold in north Wales, was found guilty of attempting to murder Bhambra, who is still recovering from his injuries. Bhambra’s family has argued Davies had committed an act of terrorism. They said if the men’s ethnicities had been reversed the family had no doubt it would have been reported as an act of terror. Judge Rhys Rowlands said Davies had left his home that day intending to kill. He said: “Zack Davies, you subjected Dr Bhambra to a dreadful and sustained attack. Blows were aimed at his head. You were shouting ‘white power’. He desperately tried to get away from you. There were shoppers in the store, some with children. One can only imagine the sheer terror you subjected the victim to.” The jury at Mold crown court had heard how Davies would sit in his flat playing violent video games for six or seven hours a day. Expelled from school at 11 for bringing in a knife, Davies became a loner and admitted carrying a weapon with him every day since he was 15 because of his growing paranoia. On 14 January he spotted Bhambra on the street in Mold at lunchtime and followed him to a Tesco supermarket, where he attacked him from behind with a claw hammer and 30cm-long machete in front of shoppers and children. Bhambra was saved after a former soldier, Peter Fuller, stepped in to help. Davies told Fuller: “We are under attack” – but Fuller said what he was doing was madness and Bhambra had not done anything wrong. Davies admitted saying “white power” and “I did it for Lee Rigby” during and after the attack. He told the court: “I got very fascinated by Jihadi John and was inspired by him. I even had a mask.” He was described in court as a racist with a fascination for far-right ideologies. In interviews he told police that maybe the wrong side had won the second world war. The court heard items associated with white supremacy and Nazism were found at Davies’s home, including swastika badges and Combat 18 material. Davies apologised in court to the family of Lee Rigby and to Bhambra. Muslims have this expression, particularly amongst their dawah propagandists. They say one is an 'enemy of Allah ' If we are all the creation of Allah who is the supreme above all else how can we be enemies. Complete anthethis to Sikhi which expresses 'Ek Onkar ' and being 'Ek ' means you have no enemies and therefore Ek has nothing to fear or hate. Maharaj cannot be his own enemy and hate himself. It does not make sense. All that can be concluded is that is that Allah is a deity amongst many other other deities. All Muslims have done is to pick one and to get rid of the rest. It's the equivalent of a Hindu picking the devta like Indra and getting rid of the other 30 million devtas and avtars like Shiva, Vishnu, Parvati, Kali Ma etc. It is just re-packaged paganism. If Hindus did what I explained above then they would be mono-theists.

Funniest part of this thread is we always talk about jats being on top. I don't think this is the case anymore. If you are OBC/Scheduled caste, you can get govt job reservations. There is no money in farming, mazhabis, Churas get reservations for free Atta, and don't work in the farms like their forefathers did. I think Punjab has come a long way.

I felt very deep pain for this babaji, as it made me realize our time on this earth is limited by what we think. Who knows if we will live for 50, 60, 70. Dear Sangat Ji, I head to work everyday and before I go, i do mahraj's darshan at Gurdwara Sahiab. I take parshad, once or twice, I have given prashad to a fellow co-worker who had a Sikh last name. I was approached with him, he was saying, he's not sure where he is in his faith, but rejects getting prashad. All I know, is even if your atheist, why would you reject parashad. Anyhow was so confused, but said okay.

I have been grappling a problem in my brain for the past 2 days. I have lost all interest in doing anything, whatès the point of doing anything in life, if there really is no way it is going to remain, or if the whole point of life is to remember god. Why did god create us in the first place..

Hi California Sardar veerji, I have always had luck with women, a couple of things that will help you that I would suggest. -Women dont' give a <banned word filter activated> about your issues, alot of them dont want a 'nice' guy, they say they do, if they could they would sleep with you on the first date. -Stop being a woman, why doesn't a girl love you, that type of stuff comes out indirectly to women. -If you have to get married in Punjab, you'll have a ton of chicks after you, some of them might marry you cause your their ticket out of poverty, but so be it. -Just because you have a paag, doesn't mean your not manly enough. Girls want a MAN, not a boy. I'm no one to talk but, just have faith in God, hopefully you'll realiuze this is all a journey. I would suggest typing 'pua' in google, reading articles along that line. It will definitely help you, its helped me be understand women more, and hopefuly help you in the ladies category.

I have felt this way since 2010. I have felt completely lost and honestly lonely. I dont think I am depressed, but I have this hunger for something in life, and I feel like I have no purpose or direction. I'm not sure what it is, I try to go to sangat everyweek. I feel like my life has no meaning, and I have tried to fill it with something, but nothing has filled th void.

My grandfather was sleeping one day under a tree in Punjab, and in his dream he saw Guru Gobind Singh Ji and told him to build a gurdwara. They did history of the pind and found that Guru Sahib was in the village 400 years ago, when he was coming back from the Machiwara Jungle. The gurdwara is in the pind - Keera Afghana

Hi Guys, I noticed there were A LOT of Bhangra stalls, I think the whole mood of the nagar kirtan has really changed. It's just turning into this one big Food fest, with bhangra gigs. I dunno I am not anyone to judge, but I think its only one day where we have gurbani in the streets, people should be ashamed who do the bhangra stalls. ** Mod Note: You had opened a similar thread regarding Vancouver nagar kirtan which was promptly closed.
