Knowledge is a curse if you become egostic about it and show off and think you're better than others. Gurbani says, the one who does not do what he preaches shall be reincarnated over and over again. Sikh of the guru says to the guru, o my guru, you're my beloved protector, you've given me so much, you've blessed me with this precious human life in this kaljug. please bless me so i can save myself and save my other fellow brother and sisters as well. to the humble soul, when god is satisfied with his bhagat, bestows permanent mercy upon him and unites with him. that is the our goal of this life. No one has stated that knowledge should be used to assert oneself over another, nor has anyone stated that whatever knowledge you attain should be contradictory to the teachings of the Guru. it is suppose to be a reminder that even if we progress onto spirituality and go onto higher levels and should not become egoistic about it which is likely to happen because the ego will try and interfere. As the doubts start to clear up, our vision becomes clearer and we can see the truth.

infact this is a good post. God inside the guy who posted this thread, wants to clear the sangat doubts. whether or not the sangat will listen to GOD is another matter. Remember, god is in each and everyone of us. So we have to learn from each other and help each other and together we should get to our destination.

It is common sense that all of us have that can be used to find answer to these small questions. just ask the guru inside you heart? is it wrong to listen to kirtan on ipod in gurudwara? why would it be? ofcourse its not. God is love, how can he live in a weapon ? gurus used weaopn as a last resort. but now most of us think of it as a first resort. the reason guru's ji left hair is coz they were not bothered about how their looks. thats how high spirituality levels take u to where you lose physical attachment to your body and you're not concerned about your looks. the quicker we agree with the truth, we can move on with our lives and progress onto spirituality.

the reason this is because religions are about to come to an end. Truth will destroy all doubts of mankind. mankind is now going to understand the true meaning of bhagti. there should be only 1 religion and that should religion of love, truth and compassion. guru nanak dev ji couldn't make it any clearer, we should use common sense and listen to her heart what it says. u watch, raj karega khalsa means khalsa will remain. khalsa is the truth, truth will stay, rest will disappear. rest is an illusion anyway.

as far as i am aware, there was only 1 sai baba. he's god conscious being, god himself, brahm giani, satguru. being a disciple of sggs ji, gurus means you're the disciple of god. we do not pray to the physical body of the guru but the light of truth within them. there is only 1 god and he's the guru. so if we think that way, we start to understand that all of them are god. ofcourse there is fakes about, but truth sets you free and you'll understand the difference between truth and lie when you are suppose to. guru gobind singh ji said DO not call me GOD. But he was infact GOD himself. the reason he said that because GOD's bhagat always compliments GOD. now we can follow his teachings and make truth our guru. Truth is beyond physical means.

We should leave the past behind, and accept the present and dont worry about future because then we will be accepting the hukam. everything is under the hukam, gurbani teaches us to accept the hukam. Let god do justice, all of them that harm others will get their fruits of their deeds back. no one escapes the law of karma. why should we take the matter in our hands. i know its hard to forget whats happened, but if you dont, you will still have the hate inside you. hate wont get you nowhere, if we start to hate hindus for what they did, we are not gona get anywhere, gurbani teaches us to love all creation, and accept gods hukam. that way we will be at peace and will focus on GOD and our bhagti rather than what happened in past. forgiveness is the name of the GOD, let it be the light in your eyes and forgive everyone. when we forgive others, god forgives us as well. thats the law of nature, what we give to nature, comes back to us.

i got my girl pregnant, i am 20 and she is 18. i have lost my job, i am no where in life, this is not the right time for me to get married to her even if i want to. help me, please sat sangat, this is the biggest test for me, i dont wanna kill a life but i am helpless. it was a lesson to learn, i wont have sex with her till marriage but what shall i do now?? o god, help me.

Real death is death of the Ego. that is mahakaal, bigger death, dying whilst alive. the gurmukh, who has died the death of ego, dying whilst alive, how can he fear any other death? Only he is fearless, rest of us all have fear, fear of Death. gurmukh is beyond death, he is akaal, he is immortal. its easier for me to stick my chest out and die in the battlefield, but its harder, to surrender my body, mind and wealth to the guru and give my ego to guru. only true guru can help you defeat your ego. You must become slave of the guru. only that will kill your ego. You must forget that you exists and live for others. that is the truth. its so hard!!!! but i know i will get there one day because i have 1000% faith in my guru. My guru loves me whether i do bad or good, my guru loves me whether i meditate or not. My guru's love for me is totally selfless. God is selfless love. he cares and loves all of us. i am the biggest sinner, yet he loves and cares for me. This is what drives me crazy! now i cant be selfish and live for myself. i must sacrifice myself to him, i must give my ego to him and become his. same goes for everyone, i am no different. we are all equal and one. We are all children of God.

What is heaven and hell? If i have my beloved lord on my side, i am ready to walk through the fires of hell and pleasures of heaven. guru ji told us to become one with GOD, then we become beyond heaven and hell, we see god in everything even hell. Even hell is God. if there was no fear of hell, how many of us would remember him? GOD takes us through heaven and then hell and then wants us to go beyond, Beyond is the truth, everlasting peace. E.g. god gives a gambler a winning hands and then losing hands and then wants him to go beyond and find the truth. He can choose to stay in heaven and hell or go beyond. only the true gurmukh who is one with GOD, is not affected by sin or virtue, he is beyond heaven and hell. Our journey is not to go to heaven or hell but to become one with our great Lord. the true king of kings.

Suffering is true amrit. Its in suffering, one becomes pure and goes high in spirituality. Suffering is true amrit, Suffering is GOD telling you, that its time to do good deeds. suffering is the cleanser of bad karams, in suffering, one remembers God. O God, give me more suffering, in pleasure i forgot about you, i burnt myself in the fire of kalyug, in suffering i remember you, you're my only hope. suffering is my true friend, it keeps me close to my lord. If there wasn't suffering, who would remember God?

respect. EGO always try and looks at weaknesses of others where as humbleness looks out of the strengths. its hard to fast, requires strength and will power, they do it because thats what they believe in. respect their belief and their devotion for God. love god and his lovers satnaam

just read guru's wisdom in SGGS and put into practise. thats all. the story is in SGGS

guruji also speaks to us through gurbani, through his rehet, and through his khalsa panth. following the "hukam of your inner guru" to the exclusion of these sounds kind of like manmat. its easy to spot the difference between manmat and gurmat.
