There are assumptions in some historical works on sikhi, and not in Sikh history. You know not a dime about Sikh history, or how cultures are preserved. You know mate, just because many of Hindus had Sikh sons does not make Sikhs as Hindus or vice versa. Jesus of Nazareth was a Jew, and the charge against him when he was brought before Roman council was that he called himself 'King of Jews'. Does that make christians 'jews'? No, it does not. It took christianity 400 years to shake off Judaism and Sikhs are still in this process of shaking of 'hindu'. Hinduism is like the 'dead skin' on Sikhs body, something which has no value and has to be removed. The Dead Skin while being removed by a snake makes it blind for a moment until it is completely shaken off, similarly some sikhs are 'blind' but sooner they get rid of this dead skin, the better. Ask your grandparents why they raised their elder son as a Sikh, whose offspring have long been back into hinduism and have no concrete views on religion. They are confused people trying to reclaim lost glory, without adhereing to the principles of that glorious tradition. Pashaura Singh - He is a student of Mc-leod. He attempted to prove, in a shameless manner for an academic, that sggs was tampered with by Guru Arjan and Sikhs later on. 3. Harjot Oberoi - Another student of Mc-Leod who was first appointed to Sikh chair in Vancouver university at the behest of govt. of India. He later on had to resign from his post when this fact came to light as it cast a question mark over credibility of university, and not because of protests by Sikhs (a falsely held notion). Harjot Oberoi, through his work said that Sikh Gurus did not find a seperate community, but it was because of Singh sabha movement. He said that Guru Nanak chose Bhai lehna over Baba Buddha as his successor because Bhai lehna was a Khatri and Baba Buddha a Jat. it is clearly mentioned in sggs that Bhai lehna was chosen because of his devotion to Guru Nanak (why did Mc-leod refused to accept sggs as authority? because later on he would attempt, through his student Pashaura singh (another GOI agent) that sggs was tampered with by Guru Arjan who changed hymns of Guru Nanak and Sikhs later on and it was not 'revealed bani'). Mc-leod also translated wrongly Bible into only old testament, to defend his God, Jesus. He was a malicious writer who openly twisted Sggs and refused to correct even when reminded. He said that Guru Nanak did not find a new religious philosophy and Sikhi is thus not a religion of Guru Nanak. He stated that arms were taken by Sikh Gurus at the instance of 'Jats'. If you go through all of his work, you will see that he tried to down grade the jats role in Sikhism, an attempt to undermine Khalistan movement in North America, esp. Canada (Jats were at forefront of the movement) I could give you a hundered logical reasons that refute Mc-leods work and observations, which were motivated. But as a Sikh Historian said, "hindus have learned one thing that they cannot learn another", so i won't waste any further energy.

Scientists have said that if Human Race is too survive, we need to find a habitat beyond Earth, on another Planet. The Dinosaurs lived for 650 million years and became extinct in a very short span of time. Man has been around for only 20 million years on earth. Someone said that instead of trying to find how the dinosaurs became extinct, we should try to find how they survived for so many years. In about 100 years man would be fighting for existence. Water resources becoming scarce every day, earth heating up each moment, countries like India, known for water resources would be without major rivers that contribute water. Ganges is going to become seasonal in 25 years, imagine what would happen when that happens? The Artic Circle, for the first time in millions of years, broke up into two halves and ships were able to sail through it's centre without hindrance. On top of that there is going to be major food shortage, there have been riots in some countries over food this year. The major energy source, oil, when it ends everything would stop in developing and under developed world. Nuclear energy can replace oil energy, but Muslims would first want to bomb Europe and America and others if they get Nuclear energy. So, they won't get that, thanks to America. There is going to be major crisis in 100 years. There are only two solutions as of now. Either, Human population gets reduced to 1/4th of present population (how will that happen? a big Astroid bang could do that but it can also wipe out the entire human race), or we need to move to another planet which is similar to earth in atmosphere, resources etc. (in short which can sustain life), soon. Harnam singh khalsa led sant Samaj did reject the hukamnama of akal takht very recently. As for following old sikh calender according to old panthic maryada, where in panth has this sant samaj got the right to influence panthic decisions. There has never been a sant samaj in sikh history, it is a recent creation, probably at the behest of RSS and sadly even akal takht recognizes it. You have no primary knowledge about Sikh, Sikhi, Rehat and most important Guru-Panth Khalsa. I would seriously advise that you spend some time reading Sikh literature and contemplate about taking Pahul. You are going by hearsay, which is the first thing to discard when you take Pahul. I fear that your wearing kirpan is going to be no different than wearing of 'janeau' by hindus. Don't take offense, but please just go by emotions, the world won't end if you don't take pahul for another year or more.

Daily Ajit Jallandhar : 16 july A sessions court of chandigarh has issued summons to dera chief, his manager and president of dera's youth force and have ordered them to appear before the judge on 17th july. The summons were sent through a civil court. The three persons are accused of issuing death threat to an advocate associated with Human Rights Commission and issuing orders for eliminating his family. Arvind Thakur, Chairman Advocate of Global Human Rights commission, received a letter through registered post, in which he was threatned that his entire family would be killed. The letter said that the advocate was pursuing cases against the dera and hence his family members would be set on fire, they would not stop until this is achieved. The advocate then filed a writ in court, through the bar association, alleging that the letter was sent by chandigarh branch of dera by the dera manger. In the writ, advocate Arvind Thakur, said that he was threatened because he is working on cases against the dera and also demanded security.
