  1. Sounds like you need to drop your standards on looks and find attraction in someone's personality, character or Sikhi Jeevan instead of their superficial appearance - or stay single
  2. Welcome to Sikh Sangat. The only place where you can hug your boyfriend then have Darshan of shaheed singhs and fly up to Sachkhand together. What would Guru Gobind Singh Ji make of what the Khalsa has now become ?
  3. It is correct that there are differences between this Kartarpuri Bir and the present SGGSJi. It is however quite a stretch to say Guru Gobind Singh Ji altered the Mool Mantar, which is not something that is ever been claimed before, and was not agreed with by Sant Gurbachan Singh, who as Prabjot Singh has shown, has written Japji Sahib the correct way.
  4. This looks to be the opening of the Kartarpuri Bir which our Taksali Veers accept as scribed by Bhai Gurdas and supervised by Guru Arjun Dev Ji. Some even say this Mool Mantar is written by Guru Sahib himself. If this is the case, the alterations to Gutkeh or Saroops whether done at the time of Baba Harnam Singh or Sant Jarnail Singh cannot be accepted as correct.
  5. What Mehtab Singh has written is correct although perhaps the wording he has used has confused people - compositions such as "Jit Dar Lakh Mohamda", "Raag Ramkali Ratanmala" and "Hakikat Rah Mukam Raja Shivnab Ki" are inauthentic writings which have been added at the end of old handwritten Saroops of Guru Granth Sahib, usually after Mundavani. Such inauthentic writings have been in circulation even since the time of Guru Sahib as Mehtab Singh's link points out with regards to the Banno Bir. "Jit Dar Lakh Mohamda" appears in some old Janamsakhia but does not appear as often in old Saroops as other compositions such as "Raag Ramkali Ratanmala" and "Hakikat Rah Mukam Raja Shivnab Ki". When Guru Granth Sahib was standardized in the 20th century by the SGPC, the many variations in minor spellings/wordings, the number of Angs, and various other issues such as this were studied, so that one single copy of Guru Granth Sahib could be printed without there being differences in printed Saroops. At this point, the above compositions were removed. There is still some disagreement on certain spellings of words, and if Raagmala should have been removed along with the above compositions, but all and for the most part there is agreement on the modern printed Saroop of Guru Granth Sahib.
  6. I doubt they had PS3 in Sant baba harnaam singh's time like 70 years ago, maybe they had regular playstation, but PS3 only came out like a few years ago. And even if they did, they wouldn't have had any blu-ray discs to play in it

  11. May be there are not replies to the topic because the website you posted is not very good, all it has is a story that the british changed chaupai sahib, and hasnt given any evidence, proof or references that would make us believe it? And this is coming from someone who reads the so called "full" chaupai sahib KKV using Akhalee Nihang Baba Hardeesh Singh Jee's account If you don't believe it then tell me this; where does the other Gotkeh come from? Why isn't Banee all the same in Gotkeh? (Don't talk about Raagmaalaa, am talking about Nithnem). How do you know its not true? I do read Chopayee Saahb fully; my pronounciation isnt correctly; neithers any of ours. As for the comment about Lar'ee'vaar Gurbanee; you can only make that comment when the whole Panth is reading Gurbanee Lar'ee'vaar; not just because I made a comment against the Gotkeh you read out of.
