  1. Mskcan, you should become a professional speech writer. Your comments always have a flow about them. Yeah agreed to the posts above, you will learn a lot from uni. without a degree or work experience you will find it very difficult find work in the field you want.
  2. Guide to how each uni ranks in the UK. http://extras.timesonline.co.uk/tol_gug/go...ersityguide.php
  3. Am very surprised Aston uni is classed as a " red Brick uni ". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Brick_universities Aston try to make a point that they are an "old" university and not a polytechnic uni ( nor does it state they are a red brick uni ) "Is Aston University an "old" or "new" University and where does it fit into the history of UK Universities? Aston is an "old", research intensive university (ie not a "new" University or former Polytechnic). Our history dates back over 100 years and for many of our degree course areas we are older than the vast majority of UK universities. We were founded in 1895 and became the UK's first elite College of Advanced Technology in 1956 and then granted Royal Charter to become Aston University in 1966. Other UK institutions granted University status at this time include Bath, Loughborough and City University, while at the same time Universities such as Warwick, Lancaster and UEA Norwich were created from scratch on out of town campus sites. Then, in 1992 many of the former Polytechnics were allowed to become Universities (for example Oxford Brookes, UCE, Nottingham Trent and Northumbria). These are now commonly referred to as "new" Universities." Source : http://www.aston.ac.uk/prospective-student...iaison/faqs.jsp Yeah that's why on my list i stated experience above and over degree classification ! A good degree does help later on the progression ladder once in a job.
  4. Something new students aren't told: You have two types of universities : metropolitan and red brick. You want to try to go to a red brick university : Such as University Of Birmingham (Not UCE or Aston), University of Leicester, University of Nottingham etc etc. These uni's have a lot more weight when applying for Jobs. Also certain companies will only look at students from a red brick university. Examples of a metropolitan unis : Birmingham : UCE ( Birmingham City uni) and Aston uni Nottingham : Nottingham Trent Leicester : DMU Sheffield : Hallam Depending on what subject you are doing certain Metro unis are as good as Red brick uni's. Example : Aston unis : Business school is very good has a semi good rep. UCE and DMU are nor here or there. If your looking to study IT at uni don't bother. You can do industrial Certifications that are better and are in great demand. You will have to do these Certification after your degree, if you want to make serious £. Too late to write an essay any questions pls shout ! lol. Also, consider that when you do finish uni, you are in competition with everyone on your course plus all the people from other uni's. What makes you different ?. Why would i want to employ you ? over the other 300+ applicants ? Key factors i look for when employing someone : Most important : Work Experience (Anything related to your subject, even if its volunteering over summer etc) Degree Classification CV layout : ( am really picky. I wont accept CV's where the fonts all wrong/layout and spelling mistakes ) + no one wants to hear about hobbies etc. Unless youv got a Duke of Edinburgh award then a bullet point will do. Other wise leave it out. Also, what not to put on a CV : Age, location and a Dodgy email address example : "Gangsta_girl117@....... ". Make it simple and dont use hotmail as it will most likly be filtered as Spam. Okay iv gone a bit off topic, but it might help someone looking for a job/uni.
  5. Undercover KGB Spies what's this a episode out of spokes? lol. Its not hard to trace someone, if your register to a forum it should store a IP address. Bobs your uncle you can find out location/isp even specific location. Feel left out i didnt get a msg lol.

    What To Do?

Seems like you (topic starter) likes this girl that this guy is going out with.
  7. True say!. You only have the right to call yourself a sikh if you truly follow the path. No half measures. I dont see how people can say they are sikh but yet know very little about sikhi. Its like me saying am a doctor but yet not having a clue. Just doesn't make sense!. You cant be born into sikhi you have to adopt the principles of a sikh. No one has the birth right.
  8. Regardless of what effect it has on your body etc etc. Its breaking the law !!. Which in essence is not living a truthful life.
  9. We need to tax imports, and help develop local businesses and products. This will help provide jobs and bring in taxes. Foreign companies operating in the UK need to employ at least 90% British workforce. We also need to be self containing, ie less reliant on the EU/Russia and USA. Esp. energy. But either way expect the economy to shrink for another 18 - 24 months. A good saying : " save when people are spending, spend when people are saving ".
  10. Sooooo what if hes got cut hair !!!! Why are you folks getting all worked up. Regardless of what he looks like he has done well for himself. We should respect that. Teji before you look down on others you should take a long hard look at yourself. ........... Your very quick to judge others, we should always see the best in people. Its very easy to nit pick the bad points.
  11. This really vexes me out, hope your brothers okay. It wil only make him stronger. Like everyone has said, you need to take action, get a lawyer that knows what they are doing. Dont tell the police, until you get legal advice. You want to obtain a warrant to secure the cctv footage asap. Document any injuries / take photos etc. Go to your doctor get them to document any injuries. Just say your brother was attacked dont give too much details as you want a non bias report. Also get your brother to write down as much detail about what the security guard looked like, as it will come in use later on. What he said, where he was standing etc etc. How many people saw the whole thing. The duration of the whole incident. You need to document it like a time line. From the time you woke up in the morning to the time you got home. Everything needs to be in as much detail as possible. If your unsure about any detail, just put a question mark, dont make up or assume anything. Go the legal action route first, but try to find out about this security guard, name, age, where he lives, etc etc. Give it a year and go pay him a visit!!.
  12. google monster templates you will find 100's take your pick !
  13. Just got back to the UK, was sitting on the sofa about to enjoy roti with gubi sabji. 17. Thats it!! am going to infiltrate the bbc, slowly work my way to the top then sack all the anti sikh ppl. Only if it was that easy. Dont know why the Asian network are so anti sikh. I still blame that sonia deol shes such a cow towards sikhs. Its not a big deal, we are judged by not what people say about sikhs. Its the way we live our lives day to day, the deeds we do and the lives we touch on our journey. So asian network , you can try your best!
  18. lol explains it allllllll. stupid, islam netw.. woops asian network lol. Am sure our one program was a good one.
  19. Thats a real shame, i bet it was that sonia deol that made the remark. I cant stand that woman. The game was supposed to reflect sikh histroy, so yeah it is a muslim killing game. Cus we did kill a fair few. Its not just the bbc, most media channels are pro islam as they dont want to be seen as islamicphonic (what ever its called).
  20. Over the years iv noticed a massive change in the attitude of most Punjabis. So much greed, drugs and just lack of self respect. (Note i said most not all). It’s a real shame and sad. It’s not restricted to a few generations but all ages. The divide between true Sikhs and Punjabi culture is getting wider. By the looks of it Punjabi culture is much more dominate among Punjabis.
  21. Fifa have done well with their 2009 release, but i like the game play on Pro better. Yep they have licenses, it use to appeal to me more when they didnt, more of the underdog game. Pro has alot following from real footy players.
  22. I admit that i had a 18 man killing spree this morning wooohoooooo. (i admit am too old to be playing PS3)
