  1. Law says lot of things in India but in reality it never happens. Nobody will treat her or people like her with respect anywhere in India. Any state or society she choose to live, she will remain like an outcast. 2 issues on our hand: One is Fake Asylum cases -possible this one and other is Homosexuals safety in India.
  2. In some cases not even trust the blood relatives when it comes to land in punjab. In punjab it is now Dog eat Dog world...
  3. Clear Your Google Web History Google Web History keeps track of your Web browsing in order to help Google serve up more-relevant search results, According to the company, Google Web History "saves information about your web activity, including pages you visit and searches on Google. Over time, the service may use additional information about your activity on Google or other information you provide us in order to deliver a better search experience." Even while you’re logged out of your Google account, Google achieve a similar effect by tracking your search history via a browser cookie. To turn this off, visit google.com/history while signed into your Google account and click Remove all web history. In the next screen, click OK to confirm your decision, and thenceforth Google will no longer track your Web history for the sake of improving search accuracy. As the EFF notes, however, Google may still log this information for various internal purposes. If you don't have a Google account, or if you're logged out of your account, visit google.com/history/optout and click Disable customizations based on search activity. --------------------- Google Privacy Checklist Tweak Your Ads Preferences By default, Google serves up "personalized" ads, based on search queries or on the content of your Gmail messages. For example, if you run a search for "Mobile World Congress," Google may serve up an ad for a phone or a tablet. If you find that kind of activity too invasive (or just plain creepy), you can dig into Google's privacy settings to disable personalized ads. Head on over to Google's Ad Preferences page; and in the left-hand column, under 'Ads on Search and Gmail', click Opt out. From there, click the Opt out button to the right, and Google will stop serving up personalized ads based on your search results. You can also opt out of personalized ads that appear on other sites through Google's Web ad services. In the left-hand column of the same Ad Preferences page, under 'Ads on the Web', click Opt out, and then click the blue Opt out button to the right.
  4. Some people close to gagun didn't learn anything from this tragic event. Thug culture or show- off is not part of Sikhe. He paid ultimate price by thuggery of other person. Everybody make mistakes and we people need to give second chance to everyone. One bad judgement led to another bad judgement. If you are really concerned about this then talk to both side parents, support them to go over this.
  5. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who is very well educated raised the hell on Central government's mission to overtake State Power. She told Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that the creation of the proposed anti-terror body should be put on hold till the Centre completes its consultation with the chief ministers who have raised objections on this issue. Bad for Sikhs as central agency can directly pick up anyone from Punjab without any interference from state government. Nobody will know where, how and why they picked them up. Such law NCTC gives unlimited power to central government and not good for any community except the majority in India.. What is NCTC? Central government wants more powers to curb the freedoms of speech, to assemble peacefully and to form associations guaranteed as fundamental rights began in 1963 with the Constitution (Sixteenth) Amendment Act, which empowered Parliament to impose by law reasonable restriction in the interest of “the sovereignty and integrity of India” — two vague grounds, in addition to the existing grounds. History of Acts (usually ends up with abuse of power): The Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967, enacted four years later, was empowered to do just that — prohibit associations and assemblies on mere suspicion in the name of sovereignty and integrity of India. However, it was not put to much use. Then came the Terrorists and Disruptive Activities Prevention Act (Tada) in 1985. Enacted specifically to tackle Punjab Sikh Freedom Fighters, Tada was also put to use in Mumbai following the 1993 bombings. It lapsed in 1995. Parliament was attacked on December 13, 2001, BJP-led government passed the Prevention of Terrorism Act (Pota), 2002. Pota was repealed by the UPA government in 2004, but simultaneously the 1967 UAPA was amended substantially. Mumbai was attacked on December 2008, Congress led government re-introducing the stringent provisions of Pota (renamed NCTC) in Parliament, by members of Parliament of all political shades. For example, “terrorist act” under Section 15 was redefined and empower a “designated authority” (added in 2004) to arrest any person or search any premises by day or by night on the mere “suspicion of commission of a terrorist act”. That “designated authority” was given vast powers of search, seizure and the like, including the power to gather information by every means possible, anywhere in India. NCTC will have the power to requisition the services of the elite National Security Guards, integrate intelligence pertaining to terrorism, analyse it, pursue or mandate other agencies to pursue different leads, and coordinate with the existing agencies for an effective response. He also said that the NCTC will maintain a comprehensive database of terrorists and their associates, friends, families and supporters of terrorist modules and gangs. They want to do this without any help from state government. Centre will not be able to counter terrorism without state cooperation, says 9 Chief Ministers (including Badal). "Centre and the states must cooperate particularly in matters related to security of the country. State chief ministers should have been called and discussion should have been held," he said. Several state governments, including the Trinamool Congress (TMC), which is the second largest in the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance Government (19 Members of Parliament), joined the chorus against what is being seen as an attempt to infringe upon state's rights. The main task of the NCTC would be to ensure that the wide variety of security organizations in the country work in tandem, at least on issues related to terrorism. It will also have the power to seek information, including documents, reports, transcripts, and cyber information from any agency, including from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), National Investigation Agency, National Technical Research Organization, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence and all seven central armed police forces including the National Security Guard (NSG). The body, which will function under the Intelligence Bureau, has been given its own operational wing with powers to arrest and conduct searches under Section 43A of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. ----------------
  6. Will dal khalsa uk take back their gold medal given to creep like babbu mann ? They were quick to release video in favor of dhunda so why silent on babbu mann's support to dusht beant's grandson ?
  7. Not aware of the above situation and my reply is not about this thread but a general reply regarding victims. I don't think it is easy for victims to come forward in public to admit that they fell for the trap ~ far is to involve police into it. Even in western society, victims ~especially female~ hesitate to come forward to lodge complaint with police. Social programs by government try to encourage victims [abuse victims/domestic violence] to come forward and provide them all type of help but even after that they still hesitate to come forward. It is easy to tell them to come forward but actually it is very hard for them to do that as they are mentally hurt and involves many temporally physiological problems. Sikhi is very clear on such things and truth should never be suppressed. Those victims who wants to come forward [again not related to just this thread], only come forward when you are ready. If sangat helps you then you are in good hands but still do not expect 'someone' else will take care of you forever and trust vaheguroo.
  8. Singhapore's post is very touching. Brother you went thru tough times and glad to know that you are coming back to sikhi senses.
  9. Who owns OMNI Tv based in Vancouver? They aired interview of Dhunda - Biased because of one point of view presented.

I knew his link with hardcore crazy head dilgeer but his support to missionary group is something new. http://www.sevafoodbank.com is also his work. i think his relative gill runs it.
  11. How can dixie gurdwara can allow such thug to be on panthic stage? Isn't this gurdwara sahib under taksal gurmat minded management control? Here is another reason why dhunda is getting much advertisement in eastern canada. Hansra controls media; newspaper, radio & tv channel. see attached picture: Canadians are the weakest despite huge number of sikh population. UK, USA would never let this thug come and go that easily.
  12. All fake news. They arrested innocent singhs or who were active in past. Guess is that they took them from their home at night from punjab or other states and then travelled to their area for legality reasons where they can make arrests. They tip off media and thus all fake drama of announcements that they were arrested from this area.
  13. Parents themself do not know what sikhi values they should teach to their kids. They are clueless just like their kids. In majority cases it is now upto Sikh institutions to gear up their prachar vehicle and give hope of sikhi to next generation.
  14. RDB famous song "daru" is totally against Sikh dharam. Our focus is not what they wear or what style they have beard but look at their actions. Judge them by their actions.
  15. Rap is just another dirty culture that most of our youth are addicted to. If you want to express yourself then pick up the pen and become a writer.
  16. If sgpc provides little help, we curse them. If they don't provide help, we curse them. Are we just group of cry babies or what?
  17. oh my world and this fake-looking website call/put "Bhai" chellaram under category of "modern sikh scholars".. http://www.thesikhen.../chellaram-bhal

  19. That is true in country like India but not really the way it works in the west {at least not anymore}.
  20. As per rehitnama: Gur ki Ninda sunay na Kaan, bhaet karo tis sung kirpan.
  21. Sat sri Akal Angad Singh, please see attached picture for a nice article that explains a bit more on this issue. [click on the picture to maximize it]
  22. People’s Party of Punjab (PPP) chief Manpreet Badal who recently met Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, the controversial head of Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda. Manpreet’s visit comes days after Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee chief Capt Amarinder Singh visited the dera on November 12. The PPP president, it is learnt, had a 10-minute meeting with the dera chief, followed by another one with the dera’s political advisory committee (Punjab wing). Both Manpreet and the dera representatives concerned refused to comment on what transpires at the meeting. “There is nothing wrong if a political leader visits a dera. Being a secular party, the PPP has high regard for every religious sect provided it works for the society’s betterment,” said Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon, PPP vice-president.
  23. Jonny101, if you have the backing of multimillionaire who for decades pays and cover the whole salary then i am absolutely sure that a person can really grab audience attention. GP Singh is the Founder and Board of Directors – Sikh Research institute (2002 - ) [ link ]. Harinder Singh is his full-time employee. Counselors at the camps or speakers at programs associated with panthic minded organization are doing pure sewa on volunteer basis. They may get free Air tickets but they don't get salary or money for doing prachar thus they have less time to focus on prachar materials nor they have time to attend public speaking or marketing classes etc. If our community pays good income to pracharaks then today w don't have to face anti-panth "Sikhri" group.
  24. Brother, they are amreekan and freedom of speech is well respected in that country much different than what engalandi got.
