vaheguru ji medidate on vaaheguru, ootath baetath sovath jaagath, wen awake asleep, standing, sitting, it should be meditated on with every breath. This is like the gurmukh stage. The state of constant meditation is a result of pure love for vaheguru regardless of anything that happens. The pure love comes from reading alot of gurbani, so much that the rang, the colour of love that maharaj expresses in bani rubs onto you. you could go on listing the numerous acts which express total devotion, like aspects of rehath. It should be remembered that these acts serve to express true love, i.e. waking up at amritvela because you're so in love with vaheguru that you dont wana sleep, jus wanna sing his praises, n make the most of every moment to enjoy his love. This stage takes long to reach, in the mean time we must keep doin ardaasan to maharaj to help us keep rehath, and eventually we will feel the love behind it too. Seva is very important to become a chardi kala gursikh. A true gursikh treats everyone like vaheguru, considers them the lowest of the low. Again this state of humility can only be gained by communicating with our most humble guru. So bani is our ladder, it puts us in the right frame of mind as we strive to achieve celestial peace. bhul chuk maaf karni if i have gone off track or anything. I feel like the biggest hypocrite, i dont do any of the above but i beg maharaj to bless me with this true love one day. May we keep sharing truth n love. vaheguru

To have sangath is to be amongst people who are praising vaheguru, and singing his beautiful naam, hence u do not necessarily need to know them on a personal level, its enough just to sit in a divan, with others who sing praises in the presence of siri guru granth sahib ji. to feel inspired and pyaar from others because they are praising vaheguru, is having sangat, this way we also join them and progress on our journey to vaheguru. 'mil sadh sangai, naam rangai'. BHUL CHUK MAAF KARNI JI, for this is just my interpretation.

vaheguruji...urm i think the 'caste day', 'roop day', 'vices day', would be an excellent idea as its a great way of learning, with the necessary gurbani quotes for each topic through kirtan, then u can cover lots of topics in sikhi. wicked seva, may maharaj help his jans share the love of sikhi! :TH:

vaheguru ji...most of gurbani is about how to conquer the mind and fight the thieves. its so difficult though, we have to internalise gurbani as its written with pure love and humility, if we keep readin it, this love will rub onto us, (hence we win the battle of the mind) until we reach the stage where we jap naam all the time...so naam and bani and seva. bhul chuk maafi if i said nethin abit muddled! :lol:

vaheguru ji... djsingh ji, please do not wish things were any other way, sometimes maharaj has planned our journeys abit bumpy hunnah? he blesses his loving sikhs with tests to see how much they really want to walk his path, u have been blessed with ras to walk on the path, just keep on going and let your love for sikhi shine so ur fiance thirsts for it too. even if she doesnt want sikhi later, never feel alone let it bring you even closer to maharaj, and lean on him for support, make him your spouse, best friend, etc, but keep loving and respecting your partner, coz it is not in our hands, whether we're guna be on his path or not. just keep doin ardas and singin da quote above...'se sanjog....'

Vaheguru ji i've just started uni, my muslim 'friend' from college is now goin to the same uni as me, she used to try to convert me at college, and seems to be trying even now at uni. I chill wid her coz we talk bout god and religion alot, little does she know, that by trying to put me off sikhi/convert me, she is only making me love it even more. I feel like a victim coz im da only singhni, but it feels wicked, and i know dat i got hold on to maharaj's charan so tight n beg him for gian to answer these girls back, there's loads of them now, not just one. The strange thing is we still end the conversations wid pyaar even wen i know wat she's tryin to do, coz i know shes just tryin to be a true muslim, and me a true sikh, so its all good, we both seeking truth, but u gota be soo careful, and so strong though...the questions they come up with can be pretty tough!

Vaheguru do not blame women, do not blame victims, we are just looking for sangath like th singhji's out there, but we obviously gota be alot more aware, n careful. I knew him, seemed pyara but not kaami, but this is the midst of kaljug wen u cant tell the difference between light and darkness, we can not identify evil, coz its in disguise. I am so disapointed, but makes me think, u cant trust ANYONE but Guru maharaj himself, who will be with us, love us like his children and give us the perfect guidance forever. bhul chuk mafi :|
