well u walk around clockwise. but mot Nihangs walk around anti-clockwise out of respect. this being that if going clockwise, when u draw our kirpan (kirpan being on your left in scabbard, and then drawn with right hand) it wil be facing Guru Ji. this is total disrespect and a direct challenge by yudh. if walking anti-clockwise (kirpan being on your left in scabbard, and then drawn with right hand) it will face away from Guru Ji, showing great respect as you are willing to challenge anyone who comes up against Guru Ji. its all about the mentality.
