  1. Veer ji Waheguru JiKa Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I cannot think of a good solution to your problem, so benti to SadhSangat to provide our brother with a solution to this problem. Rabb Rakhe
  2. Gsingh jeeo Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Which pustak have you translated from. Do you have any information on the jeevan of Giani Mohan Singh ji Bhindrawale. Also keep up the good work of posting articles on Giani Gurbachan Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale's jeevan. Rabb Rakhe
  3. Its vital that Sant Samaj take a stand against Badal for giving a siropa to this dusht. Either he asks for forgiveness or Sant Samaj break all ties with Badal. Surely, even staunch supporters can't defend Sant Samaj if they remain silent, enough is enough. I hate writing negative stuff against Gursikhs. Bhai Hari Singh has a lot of gyan and is rehitvaaan. I'm sure Harnam Singh and other members of Sant Samaj are as well. Badal I can understand but not Sant Samaj. I pray to Akal Purakh they take a strong stand against Badal. Satguru mehar Karan
  4. How can Gursikhs accept the security of the army and police when they have killed so many Sikhs, done fake cases and encounters. The panjab police still harass and kill innocent Gursikhs today. I would rather die than have the security from same people that protect fake guru'sand enemies of the panth like bhaniarawale and KPS Gill. The mention of Jathedar Balbir Singh surprising. Surely the foremost division of the Nihangs, Buddha Dal, have the capacity to protect themselves. However this could be a mistake or lie from the tribunenews site. SGPC president Avtar Singh Makker gets Z security.
  5. On the tribune website it gives a list of people who are provided protection from national security guards and the police. This includes the obvious, Badals and Captian. Namdhari and Radhaswami are also provided protection. Bhaniarawale is provided protection. Ashutosh is provided protection. KPS GIll is provided protection. But most suprising of all, Budha Dal Jathedar, Balbir Singh, is provided protection. Does leader of Nihangs require protection from the state? Surely Khalsa relies on protection from Akal Purakh and fellow Gursikhs. Maybe this is a mistake or just a lie form the tribune website. I could never see Sant Jarnail Singh ji or bhai Fauja Singh ji having protection from the security guards or police. It was the police and indian army that butchered so many Sikhs in 1978, 1984 and so on. We are living in strange times. Tribuneindia.com: Ahead of assembly elections, security of VIPs reviewed Apart from 18 politicians, religious heads, scribes given gunmen Aman Sood/TNS Patiala, November 1 As many as 33 VIPs in Punjab have been provided with a security blanket round the clock. Even though every second politician close to the ruling party is accompanied by over a dozen gun-totting guards, the state police has officially shortlisted 33 “categorised protected persons”. According to a communiqué to all SSPs and Commissioners in the state issued ahead of the elections, 33 VIPs have been placed in Z plus, Z, Y and X categories. The SHOs have been instructed to make tight security arrangements when these VIPs pass through their areas. Interestingly, apart from 18 active politicians, religious heads, retired police officers and a few scribes have been provided security. There are eight persons in the the Z plus category, including the Governor, the CM, the Deputy CM and PPCC chief Capt Amarinder Singh, 16 in the Z category, six in the Y category and three in the X category. Interestingly, while the name of Leader of the Opposition Rajinder Kaur Bhattal has been included in the Z category, MLA Bikramjit Singh Majithia, brother-in-law of Sukhbir Singh Badal, has been included in the Z plus category. A senior police officer instrumental in the preparation of the list said: “The list has been prepared on the basis of the threat perception and the inputs by the state and central intelligence agencies and Majithia’s name features in the top of the list due to the threat perception”. Enquiries by The Tribune reveal that more than 2,500 policemen posted in various districts are unofficially attached with politicians. Despite orders by top cops, policeman are seldom sent back to their place of posting on account of political pressure. DGP Anil Kaushik could not be contacted despite repeated calls on his cell phone. The ADGP (Intelligence), Suresh Arora, confirmed the list but declined to comment.
  6. From tribuneindia.com: Khalra case: SC upholds life sentence to six policemen R Sedhuraman Legal Correspondent New Delhi, November 4 The Supreme Court today upheld the life sentence awarded to six Punjab policemen for abducting and murdering human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra in September 1995 for exposing police misdeeds. The convicted policemen are DSP Jaspal Singh, ASI Amarjit Singh, Head Constable Prithipal Singh, Jhabal SHO Satnam Singh and SIs Surinderpal Singh and Jasbir Singh. A Bench comprising Justices P Sathasivam and BS Chauhan provided as many as 24 reasons for confirming the life term despite the fact that the body of Khalra could not be recovered. In the 58-page verdict, the Bench pointed out that eyewitnesses had confirmed that Khalra had been abducted and detained. “Tolerance of police atrocities, as in this case, would amount to acceptance of systematic subversion and erosion of the rule of the law ,” the SC ruled while accepting the contention of Additional Solicitor-General Mohan Jain that any relief to the accused would shake the faith of the common man in the law enforcing machinery. Endorsing the October 16, 2007, verdict of the Punjab and Haryana High Court enhancing to life imprisonment the seven-year term awarded to Prithipal, Satnam, Surinderpal and Jasbir, the SC Bench said the HC could not have remained “a silent spectator where stinking facts warrant interference in order to serve the interest of justice.” The SC noted that Khalra had informed a large number of people that he was facing a threat to his life. Further, Khalra was able to generate public pressure against the police authorities which angered the police. The Punjab Police did not pursue the complaint filed by the victim’s wife Paramjit Kaur. It also did not cooperate with the CBI which subsequently investigated the case. “The police officials of Punjab united in an unholy alliance as their colleagues were involved and the case was sure to tarnish the image of Punjab Police,” the apex court noted. The accused policemen attempted to prevent the testimony of the witnesses by threatening, harassing and implicating them in false criminal cases, it observed. “We do not find any reason to interfere with the well-reasoned judgment and order of the HC. The facts of the case do not warrant review of the findings recorded by the courts below. The appeals lack merit and are accordingly dismissed.”
  7. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Please can someone clarify Harinder Singh's interpretation of Gurbani and Naam Simran. Maybe it would be good if someone can contact Harinder Singh to clarify his views. Rabb Rakhe
  8. pedrorizzo ji raaj for Sikhs is already established: ਸ੍ਰੀਗੁਰੂਰਾਜੁਅਬਿਚਲੁਅਟਲੁਆਦਿਪੁਰਖਿਫੁਰਮਾਇਓ ॥੭॥ - ang 1390 sri guru raaj abichal atal aad purakh furmaiyo Sri Akal Purakh has declared that sri Guru Nanak Dev ji's raaj is abichal (permanent) and abichal (unmovable). This world is tiny compared to the unseen world. This world is like tiny particle. This world will one day finish along with the stars, sun and moon. What's the point of Raaj if we are spiritually bankrupt. America is supposed to be a christian nation but I do not see that as a religious nation. For me so called 'christian' nations are mayadhari and have changed Christianity to suit western lifestyles. Even if Sikh Raaj comes the only advantage of a Raaj is that we can do more bhagti, more paath and more simran. Here in western countries we have a lot of freedoms and have done for a long time. But honestly how many of us Sikhs do paath and simran? The reason our attempts of Khalsa Raaj are failing is because we are losing rehit and not engaging in abhiyaas. Sant Jarnail Singh and bhai Fauja Singh were successful in awakening the spirit of Sikhs because they were rehitvaan and true sadhu's. Our current leaders are now devoid of naam simran and rehit. Our leaders have put their faith in political parties instead of putting their faith in Satguru ji. I will always be in favour of Sikh Raaj but for me in these dark times just keeping Rehit and doing paath and simran are of up-most importance. I do not see any leaders at the moment that have the capacity to lead the panth. I have firm belief now is the time to increase paath and simran then we will get raaj in no time, maharaj kirpa de naal.
  9. An important factor in conversion to christianity is the lack of rehit one has to keep. What rehit does an average christian keep what do they absatin from? Christianity may be appealing because one can continue to live western lifestyle ie clubbing, meat, smoking, dating and whatnot. Also one can continue to indulge in maya. The reality is that the christianity folllowed today is not the same as the christianity followed in th time of bhagat Isa (Jesus) ji. Sikhi in my opinion has the hardest rehit. One has to keep kesh, kakars, abstain from intoxicants and kaam etc. Yet in my opinion Sikhi has the greatest spiritual rewards and is the most direct path towards Akal Purakh. Also because the dharam is relatively new compared to other dharams, most of our rehit is known and has been kept intact. Numbers mean nothing to me. Sikhi is not about converting others so as to increase our numbers. If Akal Purakh wills he can increase the number of Khalsa in no time. First we must focus on our own spiritual level. First we must become Khalsa then we can focus on doing parchar to others. The best parchar is to become an example to others. Rabb Rakhe
  10. Doing pooni for a pagh is not neccessary veer ji. If you tie a Gurmukhi dastar there is no need for pooni or larr in the back. You can collect pagh together with the hands. Tying a gurmukhi dastar is easier than pagh that is prevelant now. Rabb Rakhe
  11. Does Niddar Singh run classes in any Gurdwara. If so would it not be a good idea to approach the Gurdwara committee to make them aware of his anti-gurmat views. Just look at the sarbloh website. This website has attacked mahapurakhs from Taksal and Jatha. This should be enough. Who are these fake nihangs to attack panthic jathebandis and shaheeds of our panth. Why has he got a picture of Ram Chander ji on his main page? Why does he wear a red mark on his forehead? Rabb Rakhe
  12. Veer N30Singh ji All I mentioned was that in this book their are a few lines where Sant ji shares his pyar for Bhai Sahib. Since this thread was about the pustak 'Gurmukh Parkash' is it wrong to quote from this book? Where have I mentioned akj, singh sabha or any agenda? If 'hijacking' Sant Gurbachan Singh ji Khalsa Bhindranwale to show the pyar between Gursikhs is wrong then I stand guilty. Sri Gurmukh Parkash: Rabb Rakhe
  13. So does anyone have this pustak of Sant ji? I have read the lines in which Sant ji talks about bhai Randhir Singh, these lines show the mutual respect and pyar between Gurmukhs. This pyar does not exist now like it did back than. Satguru Mehar Karan
  14. Veer Kluivert ji I agree with your post. However, I can't believe people defend these guys when they have attacked Damdami Taksal, Akj including prominent Gursikhs from these jatha's. Slander of panthic jathebandis should not be allowed and tolerated. As for people thinking of going to these classes just read bhai Kluivert ji's 2nd paragraph. Anyway, maybe the less said the better.
  15. I would advise you against going to these classes brother. They can promote their ideology thats fine, but this site also promotes 'sarbloh - info' which is one of the worst sites I have ever seen. This site spares nobody, they attack nearly every jathebandi like taksal and akj. Also they have attacked great Gursikhs like Sant Kartar Singh ji, bhai Randhir Singh ji, Sant Jarnail Singh ji and so on. This is unforgivable, who are they to attack jathebandis and Gurmukhs who gave their life to the panth. If they have any credibility, they should remove the slanderous comments against prominent Gursikhs and Jathebandis. That would be a start. Some comments from the shastervidiya site: Practitioners of the art are 'spiritually purified' through bhagwad gita, ramayana, mahabharat. They say that avtars should not be worshipped yet they have Ram Chander ji on their opening page? Both shastervidya and sarbloh-info are anti-gurmat sites. Rabb Rakhe
  16. Veer dustofthesaintsfeet ji I might write something in future but swear/cuss words have been strictly forbidden by our Guru Sahibaan. Just search for word 'fikka' "ਫਿਕਾ" in srigranth.org. Let alone the words that come out of our mouth, swear words shouldn't even come in the mind when we think. What is the need for these words anyway. Guru Sahib has told us that our preeta pyare sri Akal Purakh is 'mith bolra' (sweet speaking) - ang 784. May Guru Sahib bless his Sikhs to speak sweet words and eradicate kaura/fika words from within us.
  17. Benti to moderators that swear words should not allowed to be posted even when put * in the word. This type of language is not suitable for Sikh forum. Is it really necessary to use swear words to prove a point? Rabb Rakhe
  18. To keep the spiritual level of the forum high it is important that we do not attack other religions or sikh jatha's. It is fine to have a discussion/debate on issues but it is imperative that we keep a level of respect. As this is a forum promoting Gurmat it is essential that we follow the teachings of Gurmat. I think all forums at one point or another have allowed slander of great Gursikhs and Jathebandis and also slander of other religions. This goes against teachings of Gurmat. So benti to the moderators of this forum and other forums to not allow slander of other religions, jatha's or Gurmukhs. Satguru Mehar Karan!
  19. NoName ji Any size dastar is good . Once you get used to tying a dastar then you can practice tying bigger, smaller dastar, whichever one you prefer. At least you tie patka and keep kesh which is good. The next step is to tie a dastar. I would urge you to start practising dastar as soon as possible. Once you get the hang of it , you can tie a dastar in no time. I tend to worry for my brothers that tie patka. I see more and more styles of patka, some tie joora, some flat and some joora at the back of the head. Youngsters here tend to tie patka instead of dastar. However tying a dastar looks million times better than patka and make you feel a million times better. Especially when you read our history, Chaar Sahibzade to Sant Jarnail Singh. Our great brothers of the past all wore dastar. Also if youth start tying dastar instead of patka it will benefit the whole panth in many ways. Another benti, I think it is better to tie a simple pagh. A gurmukhi dastar looks good and is easy to tie. Anyway, may Guru Sahib bless you with the khazana (treasure) of dastar. Satguru Mehar Karan
  20. First and foremost, the main objective of a Gurdwara is parchar of Gurmat and a place where Gursikhs can do kirtan and naam abhiyaas. A Gurdwara is already a charity in that it provides langar for free to people from all backgrounds everyday of the week. Personally, I do not like when Gurdawara's try to expand and open community halls and whatnot. Some of these 'community halls' have become a place for anti-gurmat activities. First of all we need to get back to the basics. Kirtan, katha and naam abhiyaas. Gurdwara's should be a place where one can learn kirtan, paath etc. Gurdwara are NOT community centres and they never have been. Gurdwara has a darbar for Guru Granth Sahib ji and a kitchen for langar. Lets keep our Gurdawara's simple. Satguru Mehar Karan! Rabb Rakhe
  21. Veer noname ji I make a humble plea for you to learn tying a dastar as soon as possible. Please wear a dastar brother and not a patka. A dastar looks so much better than a patka. Guru Gobind Singh ji himself gave us the gift of dastar. Why not wear it? The founder of our religion dhan Guru Nanak Dev ji themself tied a dastar. All of our great Gursikhs wore a dastar. The solution to your problem is to tie a dastar veer ji, then you won't have to worry about the back of your head. You and your cousin should get together and start practising tying dastar then start wearing it to school. The sooner you tie a dastar the sooner you will get used to it. I worry that many youth who tie patka instead of dastar sometimes commit the mistake of cutting their kesh. Those brothers that wear dastar from early age are much less likely to cut their kesh later on. Veer ji there are no words to describe the feeling of wearing a dastar. Wearing a dastar gives you million times better feeling then wearing a patka. You will never regret tying a dastar. Please read these link veer ji: http://tapoban.org/p...1796&t=1641&v=f Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  22. The culprit - panj chor, 5 thieves Solution - sekking the protection of Guru Sahib through rehit and Gurbani Badal, congress, captain...........are not forcing liqour, alcohol down the throats of people. Surely, individual responsibility plays a huge a part. The root of the problem is that we have to seek happiness from moral activities not immoral activities. All around the world people are deriving 'happiness' from intoxicants, kaam, mansions, cars................................................... Once people understand that this so called happiness is temporary and immoral then these problems will be sorted out. Yes governments share the blame but individuals also share the blame. First lets start with ourselves, lets reform ourselves, then our family, then our town and so on. We should become an example/role-model for others to follow. Getting Badal out would be good, but there are a million Badals waiting in the wings. Politicians are getting away with corruption because the whole society, from poor to rich are corrupt. It seems as if the assar (effect) of maya is getting stronger and stronger. Satguru Mehar Karan! Rabb Rakhe
  23. Guru pyareo ji Waheguru ji ka khalsa Waheguru ji ki fateh "I'm not the best person to ask maybe other amritdhari Singhs or panj payre could give you good / better advice. My advice would be for you to re-evaluate. Just take some time out. Keep as much rehat as you can, all the paath you do, do it with sharda. Don't force yourself. Take small steps and build up too what you should do. BUT do it because you want too. NOT because you feel you need too. For example just get up and recite Mool Mantar, or First 5 pauris of Japji Sahib or Japji Sahib da paat which wont take too long do ardas. The other bani's listen to them on an ipod whilst traveling to work. Slowly build yourself up. DONT FORCE yourself to do paath as a formality do it because of love, do with sharda, slowly you will reach your goal, even if it takes years. It's better to do with sharda than just spitting out the words which could end up in resentment." I do not doubt the intentions of gurdssingh ji, but as he said himself it is best to take advice from rehitvaan, nitnemi, naam japan-wale Gursikhs. Also whether we do paath with shardha, pyar, dhyaan or we do it without, all paath is parvaan (accepted) and constitutes to kamai (profit). Bhagti (meditation) is never wasted. "DONT FORCE yourself to do paath" - as per vichars of Gursikhs, this is 100% wrong. Nitnem paath is mandatory for every baptised Gursikh, never miss nitnem." Yes we all want to do paath with concentration and love, but this depends on our previous karams (deeds) and kamai ans most pf all kirpa from Guru Sahib. Gursikhs will face hurdles in their path towards Akal Purakh. However, please continue to do paath and force yourself to do paath. All paath will help is in this world and the next no doubt. Don't worry mirror ji, you are not the only person who feels like their paath is not up to standard. I guarantee all high avastha Gursikhs will advise you to do paath, paath and more paath. Another great way to build up rass when doing paath is do arths of bani reading teeka's like prof. Sahib Singh ji, reading Gurmat books on Gurbani and Sikh history and learning to do shudh paath with correct bishraams (pauses). If we do paath with correct pauses and pronunciation this will greatly aid in concentration when doing paath. When we look back at our lives we will never regret the time spent doing paath or simran. May Guru Sahib bless me to do paath, paath and more paath. Satguru mehar karan.
  24. Benti to sangat, keep in mind that younger people also read this forum. Maybe this vichar (discussion) is better done face-to-face rather on a forum. Also I feel it is vital to take advice from elder Gursikhs after all they have experience of living through youth and marriage. When it comes to issues such as kaam and marriage I think it is an excellent idea to ask elder Gursikhs, one's that you look up to and keep rehat, amritvela etc. I urge sangat to consult our Guru, dhan sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, visit www.srigranth.org, and read about 5 thieves - lobh, moh, hankar, kaam and krodh. What does Gurbani say about kaam? Please try and gain as much knowledge from Gurbani first. The ikhlaak (character) of a Gursikh is very high indeed. We should try and follow prominent the ikhlaak of Gursikh's of the past. Maybe nowadays the ikhlaak of Gursikhs is falling, but do not look at dhilley (weak) Gursikhs. Look, read and follow our Guru Sahiban, Gurmukhs and Guru Granth Sahib ji. Rabb Rakhe
  25. "My friend is HIndu and i told him everything about GOD whats written in Gurbani. He agrees to all things as its all logical. Now i don't want to say to him that if you want liberation then adopt sikhism as you will get to sachkhand only in sikhism." Mirror ji There is nothing wrong in telling your friend to adopt Sikhism. In fact this a punn (good deed) as per Gurbani: ang 140: ਜਨਨਾਨਕਤਿਸੁਬਲਿਹਾਰਣੈਜੋਆਪਿਜਪੈਅਵਰਾਨਾਮੁਜਪਾਏ ॥੨॥ Jan Nānak ṯis balihārṇai jo āp japai avrā nām japā▫e. ||2|| arth (meaning) of words - jan Nanak - slave nanak bliharnai - sacrifice avara - other sri Guru Ramdas says I am a sacrafice to those who japp Naam and inspires others to japp Naam. Don't worry If your friend adopts the path of Gurmat or not. Becoming a Sikh of Guru Nanak ji is all in Gods hands. The point is that we should make an effort to inspire other towards the path of Gurmat. Many other people of other faiths have adopted Gurmat like swami dandi sanyasi ji who became bhai Tirath Singh ji. Please read the jeevan of this great brother of ours - http://www.sikhiwiki.org/index.php/Swami_Ram_Tirath_Dandi_Sanyasi Rabb Rakhe
