I was surprised by this .... How many sangats know about this ? Bhai Gurdas ji Vaar : In Satyug, Vishnu in the form of Vasudev is said to have incarnated and 'V' Of Vahiguru reminds of Vishnu. The true Guru of Dvapar is said to be Harikrsna and 'H' of Vahiguru reminds of Hari. In the the Treta was Ram and 'R' of Vahiguru tells that rembering Ram will produce joy and happiness. In Kalijug, Gobind is in the form of Nanak and 'G' of Vahiguru gets Govind recited. The recitations o f all the four ages subsume in Panchayan i.e. in the soul of the common man. When joining four letters Vahiguru is remembered, The jiv merges again in its origin. VaHeGuRu ( Vishnu , hari , govind , raam )

Friend , I have taken hukamnama many times ... many times I got my answers and sometimes it was not obvious ... Once someone similarly challenged me , a hindu guy , who told me your Guru was a vishnu worshipper .... I did not knew how to answer ... so I took hukamnama after ardas ( in which I asked Guruji to tell me who is his god , whom he worshipped ) and these lines came up in hukamnama .... ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥ गउड़ी महला १ ॥ Ga▫oṛī mėhlā 1. Gauree, First Mehl: ਗੁਰ ॥ गुर परसादी बूझि ले तउ होइ निबेरा ॥ Gur parsādī būjẖ le ṯa▫o ho▫e niberā. By Guru's Grace, one comes to understand, and then, the account is settled. ਘਰਿ ॥੧॥ घरि घरि नामु निरंजना सो ठाकुरु मेरा ॥१॥ Gẖar gẖar nām niranjanā so ṯẖākur merā. ||1|| In each and every heart is the Name of the Immaculate Lord; He is my Lord and Master. ||1|| ਬਿਨੁ ॥ बिनु गुर सबद न छूटीऐ देखहु वीचारा ॥ Bin gur sabaḏ na cẖẖūtī▫ai ḏekẖhu vīcẖārā. Thats pretty plausible ! RSS has been for long trying to get kirpans and other kakkars banned . They worked against kirpans in Canada also . I swear I have seen with my very own eyes on Canadian hindu advocacy website that they were pushing canada govt to ban kirpans and they associated it with terrorism ..

Ok , I am seriously asking this one and I seriously expect a reply : If I doubted Gurbani or said that its ordinary poetry , do I risk getting assassinated by some sikhs ? I am now scared ! seriously !

Nothing is hidden from Him. He is the inspiration of Koran. If God is the inspiration of Quran as said by Maharaj himself , then how can something from Akal purakh be bad ?

At our former residence , our neighbors were muslims and when I was a small child , I used to be at their home early in the morning , having breakfast at their home . On Bakri Eid and moharam , our neighbors would give us their traditionally cooked saemiya , but they never gave us meat because they knew we would not eat it . With so much of love , they would give us saeviyan and you know what my mom used to do ? We would take the bowl of saeviyan at the door , wish them eid mubarak and my mom would immediately spill those saeviyan in the sink ... becoz food from muhammadans was considered impure ! My parents commonly use statements like "Mussle kisi de mit nahi " ( muslims are no one's friends ) and "Mussle jalaad hunde aa" ( muslims are butchers ) , when infact good and bad people are in every religion ! Our community has so much of anti-islamic feeling ... Is it any wonder , muslims return back that hate to us ? Sorry , if I offended anyone .

The place where I worked , I had many muslim colleagues and one was very eager in discussing religion . I once told him we sikhs are forbidden to eat halal meat , but can only eat jhatka ! He laughed and said what is forbidden is halal in your religion . here he said he was talking about alcohol . and further said what is halal ( halal meat ) is forbidden . See people have the belief that alcohol is ok in sikhism ! And I don't blame them !

I had almost same experience when I started tying pagg to my college , 5 years ago . I go in Khalsa college , where sikh guys are required to wear turban ... I was still a kid back then 16 year old when I started tying pagg . I remember my neck would pain real bad as I was not able to bear weight of pagg . Also , many times I used to rush back home with half day just because so that I can take my pagg of my head . Now , its been 5 years that I am tying pagg ... and I feel like I got somewhat used to it , though it still sometimes feel pain around ears and all you mentioned .. Maybe give it some time . How old are you ?

I always wondered why saffron is a sacred color in sikhism . Our nishan sahib is kesri , When bibis go to gurdwara they will wrap in saffron chuniyan over their head , but never by mistake use white . They are always afraid that someone may call them muslims if they use white chunni . Secondly , Siropa is kesri and bana is kesri . Kesri has become more important than blue . God knows where it came from !
