  1. I think he got his stats wrong and the real figure is 99.99%.
  2. Niddar rhymes with Giddar. Where was his ancient martial art when he had to apologise at Sei Hazur Sahib? The blokes a total tool pretending he Bruce Lee da Punjabi mamma. He has hoodwinked people for years with his 3rd rate useless martial art.
  3. Maybe he thinks he is above the law? Maybe he wants to have the police raid his house and spend time in prison. Hammertime : grow up.
  4. Punjab used to be the first port of call for horse traders from Persia and beyond. So our people would bag the best before the mughals etc got the rest of the stock. The Lakhi jungle etc provided a good breeding area and these imports would be used to cover local mares. The result was the lakhi horse or what people now call the Sindhi breed. The horses in Pak Punjab today have no Marwari influence. Trouble with our people is that the other mans kachee looks better than their own so they have all flocked to the marwari. Horse breeding is still big in Malwa, I guess Jalandharia have other shounk such as putting speakers and mp3 players on their tractors. It would not require much to revive the puratan horse type nasala. Import a few arabi, turkoman stallions and let them loose on local mares. This will never happen though because of this Marwari love affair that Punjabis have developed. I like the Marwari breed but nothing wrong in going back and breeding horses like in the 18th century.
  5. Anmol bread had nothing to do with the Mughals. The Punjabi were fond of arabi, persian and turkoman horses. Local mares would be covered by these. Today it is all marwari stallions with the odd Sindhi being used to cover mares so the arabi and other influences have been bred out of Punabi horses. Its not really about the cost its about fashion. There are plenty of good thoroughbreds to be had at low prices in Punjab but they all want marwari (because of the ears). Sukhbir Badals Raj-Hans is a great looking stallion. He also used to have a draft horse imported from Ireland as well as some miniature ponies. There are plenty of good horses in Punjab. You just have to know where to find them. If you are in the loop then you can spend weeks visiting stud farms in Punjab and seeing well bred horses. If you are going to ask you chacha in Jalandhar to show you a horse then you will see a cart horse!!
  6. a) He may have Z security in India but these people rarely travel wil full security overseas. Even if they travel with security those attached to him will not be allowed to carry arms in the UK without prior approval (often denied to visiting Presidents and PMs so I doubt he would travel with armed guards). c) Don't assume he arrived at Heathrow. He could have arrived at one of umpteen airports in the UK or in Europe.
  7. Its about time some of us opened our eyes. These is all being done for the votebank, the RSB could make or break the Akali Dal at the next elections. They already have the likes of Dhumma on side. It makes sense to get the RSB baba into the Akali bed as well. Big Badal wants to do all that is possible to make sure Junior Badal is CM after the next state elections, to do this they need as many pro Badal chamchey on their side.. They did the same with the Sirsa pakhandi and when he backed congress they used the media to tell us that the fat bloke from sirsa wearing a pink dress was trying to act like Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Sadly many of us fell for the Akali propaganda. Yes he is a pakhandi but they tarnished the image of Guru Ji by comparing the two and alluding to Guru Ji as having worn pink dresses.
  8. About 14 years ago I got up and decided not to touch tea again. Before this I used to drink it like an alcoholic gets through nasha. Never once have I had withdrawl symptoms or anything. Mind over matter and you can beat tea.
  9. Lets wait for the facts to emerge. Remember a few years back of a similar case in Scotland? after a few days the boy admitted to cutting his own hair. We also had a similar incident in our pind where 2 brothers hatched a plan and after claimed bhoot had cut their kesh.
  10. He has no need to say anything when he has followers to defame others: Give it a break, there was not an inch on Baba Jassa Singh Ahluwalias body that was without a battle scar. Which battles has Dhumma been involved with? After the Ludhiana shootings he openly said in interviews that he would take on the Badal sarkar. Less than a year later he backtracked and was doing everything to please the Badals. Please do not compare great Gursikhs like Baba Jassa Singh Ji with Dhumma ever again. Don't try to throw mud on their glorious legacy just to protect the illogical pandering to the Badals by Dhumma. Yes those 30 members have made a lot of difference. LOL. Amrik Su kar sewa still has SGPC projects alloted to him even though he was caught with his pants down (using donations to buy land and gold for his bit on the side). Have the Samaj SGPC members raised this as an issue? NOPE. What isues have they raised? NONE!
  11. The Radha Soami have connections with those who control people in high office. Even Ajit Phoola Nang had to apologise to them for stealing their 'babas' car. The Badals and the Jathedar they control will never utter a word against them. Everyone knows Dhumma has close links with the former sarkari jathedar Rode. The same Rode who was exposed for having received weapons from the central sarkar. Back those who are not tainted and expose these sarkari tattoo.
  12. The nugget burning the US flag was Paramjit Singh Pamma. He is a total tool for the Congress party and Delhi based. Google his name and you will find photos of him with the Congress party Delhi CM etc.
  13. Casinos provide a great opportnity to launder ill-gotten wealth.
  14. The Dal has base at Bageecha Bagh in Patiala so why not head on over and try and find out there?
  15. Stop moving the goalposts. Also you need to compare like with like, areas such as Hissar and areas of southern Punjab were in a similar state in the 1960s so why is there a large disparity now? Not long back you wrote: This theory was debunked, now you do not want northern Haryana compared with southern Punjab? So Gurgaon aside is the rest of Haryana backward or not? Provide an evidence base to back up your views and stick to your views instead of meandering like a seasonal rivulet. I have travelled extensively in both states rather than using the journey from Delhi Aiport to Jalandhar as a basis to pass opinion. You do not see much of the interior travelling on NH1. Northern Haryana has benefitted from good governence. If development was based solely on hard working people then Punjabi areas of UP would also have half decent infrastructure. Southern Punjab has hard working people but no infrastructure to match, why is this? Ludhiana has industry but your average pindoo farmer in Ludhiana district is not economically better off than farmers from northern Haryana. Last year I travelled in Gurdaspur and Amritsar and there are plenty of backward pind in these districts.
  16. Why not give them credit? Again I reiterate cross the border from Fatehabad to say Mansa and head on toward Abohar and you can see which area has had better governance. There are Sikhs on either side yet the Haryana side has better infrastructure? Why? The locals did not build it themselves, it has been built and maintained by the state sarkar. They have excellent bypass roads in Haryana which help reduce congestion and avoid the need for ugly flyovers. There are Punjabis in areas of UP who are prosperous but the infrastructure is poor. Thats a state sarkar issue right? A few years ago I went by road to Pakistan and again the infrastructure on the Pak side of Punjab is very poor. That again is the fault of the state sarkar. They had a head start on east Punjab but have failed to develop or maintain what was superior infrastructure (at the time of partition). Besides the motorway that the North Koreans built in exchange for nuclear know-how they have nothing.
  17. Jonny read what you wrote yourself: Likewise other than a handful of cities in Punjab the rest is backward and like stepping back 100 years. For 20 years the road from Jalandhar to Kala Sangha was a dirt track, potholes everywhere as if you were in Bihar. The Gurgaon scenario can easily be applied to Punjab as well. Who would have heard of places like Dera Bassi, Zirazkpur etc had Chandigarh not been set up down the road? Also on your next visit to Punjab go down to the areas in the south (villages around Abohar etc) and you can also step back a 100 years in Punjab itself. Also from my last visit to both states I noted that village link roads were much better in Haryana than in Punjab. The only development in Punjab I noticed were ugly flyovers being built everywhere. The areas of Haryana with large Sikh population have far better infrastructure than those in southern Punjab and also the Sikh areas of UP. There must be a reason for this, its not as if these areas were better developed prior to the creation of Haryana and Himachal. If you cross the border from northern Haryana into Punjab you instantly notice the lack of development and feel as if you are in Mogadishu.
  18. I totally disagree with the point made. I have been travelling to Punjab and Haryana since the mid 1980s when Gurgaon was still a little pind. Having relatives in both these states allows you to see who is actually doing well. Lots of Sikhs live in northern Haryana in districts bordering Malwa. These areas were once owned by powerful jagirdars. Punjabis bought this land and set about fermenting the green revolution in Haryana. Through their hard work they have uplifted themselves out of poverty. Comparing my relatives living standards in Fatehabad district of Haryana and restidar in Jalandhar, I can honestly say that the ones living in Haryana have always been better off. They bought Maruti cars in the early 90s when Mamma Jalandharia was still riding in Basti Baba Khel on his Bajaj chetak, they had colour televisions in the mid 80s when Jassa Jalandharia was still watching Mahabharat on his Salora black and white 12 inch. They have had air conditioning and diesel gen. sets since the early 90s whereas the Jalandharia have only started buying inverters. Most of the bling houses you see in Punjab are built with money sent back by illegal immigrants in Europe, the bling houses in Haryana are built through farming generated income by locals. The only backward areas are the water logged southern districts of Haryana. I doubt very much you have ventured to areas such as Fatehabad, Hissar and Sirsa district. Nothing backward about these areas. In fact we regulalry cross into southern Punjab districts such as Sangrur, Mansa etc and you instantly notice a drop in living standards.
  19. Rana has never apologised for what he did. He has been spinning the old 'mistaken identity' story for years. As such he is not a good advert of a Gursikh, he should be man enough to admit his crime, apologise and take a back seat.
  20. Awaze Quam newspaper wale must have thousands of photos from the 80s and 90s. If anybody has contact with the paper it might be worthwhile getting all the material scanned and putting it online.
  21. They need a kick up the backside. They even flying the Indian flag in one of the vids. They are attention seeking pyjamey.
  22. The issue of Ranas conviction and projecting himself as a representative of the Sikh quom was raised in 2002. http://icbirmingham....#story_continue He should have accepted a non media facing role if sewa was his true goal. He appears to enjoy the media attention and being photographed with Royalty. Sajjan Thag embraced Guru Ji and accepted what he had done in the past was wrong. For years Rana has been telling people it was a case of mistaken identity rather than accepting what he did was wrong.
  23. http://www.tribuneindia.com/2012/20120331/punjab.htm#8 Akal Takht Jathedar Gurbachan Singh, Damdami Taksal head Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma, former Jathedar of Akal Takht Bhai Jasbir Singh Rode and Dal Khalsa spokesman Kanwarpal Singh had to face the ire of nearly 2,500 villagers when they visited Jaspal’s village this morning. The angry residents blamed the clergy for the sorry state of affairs.
  24. My heartfelt condolences to the family of the shaheeds family. Since when has the AK47 been a crowd control weapon? Its inaccurate at the best of times and all those involved in this firing need to be booked for murder. Also those with links to Jasbir Rode and Dhumma need to put pressure on them over their links with Akali Dal Badal. Either the Badals take full action against those who provoked the incident and the police or break their links with Badal. As for the Shiv Sena, we all know that when their HQ in Ludhiana was raided a few years back it was found to be a porn vcd factory.
  25. Seeing how the Akal Takht Jathedar issued punishments against the likes of congressi Buta singh and co in the 80s, is it time that the current Jathedar summoned the Indian PM to ask why the likes of Kishori Lal can be have death sentences commuted and released then why not the various Singh languishing in in Indian prisons be released? Yes Bhai Sahib Rajoana Ji does not want anyone to plead and beg for his release but nothing stopping the Takht Jathedar from summoning PM Singh!
