  1. Well, maybe I could be hopeful. But I have been watching a some youtube channels of some well known Raggis. They did this tour of Pakistan Gurdwaras, it was quite eye opening. For all the yatris that come from India and elsewhere, there are a lot of Sangat there that were the native Pakistan non-Sikh population (and not just the Hindus in Sindh). There were muslims doing kirtan and some of them read Bani. I could not quite understand it. Something quite weird, it seems that grassroots Pakistanis seems to be quite open to Bani but it seems that their Ulema will find it threatening. If you think about it, the average Pakistani will understand Bani quite naturally whereas none of them can speak or understand Arabic. Maybe I am looking too much into it.
  2. Let's unpack this By youtube, you are having Pakistani YouTubers reacting to Sikhi. That will have thousands of views, probably mostly other Pakistani muslim. So by one Pakistani YouTuber reacting to Sikhi, he/she is spreading knowledge/awareness amongst thousands of their viewers on their channel. Say for example, you get 15000 views, that is 15000 new people aware of Sikhi. Out of those 15k people you may get 5k googling to find out more. Out of the 5k you may get 2k that may start listening to path. They are doing parchar without even realising it. It is probably more effective in some ways to street parchar.
  3. More so in an inadvertent and indirect way than directly.
  4. The Pakistani musulman will do greater parchar for Sikhi than we could ever do ironically.
  5. Something very interesting I have observed on youtube. For several years, you may have seen reaction videos. There are reaction videos for everything: music, tv shows, comedy etc However, the interesting thing I noticed is the number of Pakistani reaction videos to Bani and Kirtan. I think what has happened with the advent of the internet, coupled with the yatras of gurdwarae of Pakistan and made the local Pakistani populace quite curious to Sikhi. I know on other threads we have spoken about Haryanvis coming to Sikhi but I think (could be wrong though) you could "potentially" see an explosion (pardon the pun) of Sikhi breaking out in Pakistan.
  6. The 4 dharmas (well at least 3) have a bigger part to play to spread dharma throughout the world If you have ever watched basics of sikhi street parchar, you will find that many parts of the world (particularly the west) is quite receptive to dharma. In fact it makes sense. Europe particularly has been become post Christian and in some ways have gone back to their dharmic default position. In a lot of ways, the Europeans were one of the first victims of the Abrahamic onslaught. If it done to Europe, it will work more at the aam janta level. The elites on the other hand will try to find a way to exploit this. The SE Asian and Far East countries are looking to be lead by dharma, however the country where Dharma comes from can be very reluctant. I went to Thailand a couple of years ago. I met a buddhist monk there and he asked me where I was from and it was quite ironic in that he looked at me as a holy man, lol. I walked around meeting me, greeting them and they greeted back. I felt the dharmic connection. It is a shame that countries like Malaysia and Indonesia are mainly muslim, they should be brought back into the Dharmic fold. Islam and Christianity has no place there Dharma must supplant the Abrahamics
  7. Have you ever watched the film Agora. You can see what happened to the Pagans as the Christianity took over the Roman Empire.
  8. The Romans. That Constantine caused lots of problems.
  9. The last few days I have been watching some Abrahamic stuff. A lot of these are debates between Abrahamic 2.0 (Christianity) and Abrahamic 3.0 (Islam) These two groups ( I cannot really call them a faith or a religion when I hear these guys speak) They argue like lawyers, trying to prove and disprove each other. Bhagti of Maharaj is quite a simple thing and these desert middle eastern ideologies are very neurotic and over-complicate everything. They tie themselves like knots. When the Dharmics (Us Sikhs, Hindu schools and buddhists) debate it is more metaphysical. It is completely different. A lot of these theologans in 2.0 and 3.0 are very intellectual but they are fools. We may reject aspects of the hindus in their mindless rituals and their murti worship, but the framework is completely different. When dharmics debate, we are trying to get to the truth, when abrahamics debate they are trying to show dominance and superiority over each other. I think it is very unfortunate in this world that 4 billion people are categorised under these 2 groups. What is even stranger is that Abrahamic 1.0 (Jews) look to Dharma. It is a shame that we call us a "faith" or "religion" because we are using the abrahamic framework to define ourselves. It is far too limiting for us. We are far better than that.
  10. I don't understand why these people would want to go back. I think we found that this particular phenomenon in parts of Pakistan and anywhere in the north west part of the subcontinent. A majority of muslims and a Hindu/Sikh minority that tend to be economically dominant. This is quite common where if you are tiny minority that is more prosperous in a sea of a hostile majority. Because if anything does happen, the tiny majority becomes the first target. However, there does seems to be a problem for an element of Afghan Sikh/Hindu (particularly the leadership) who some regards economically are big fish in a smaller pond whereas they become smaller fish in a bigger pond when they come to India.
  11. It is because we stick out like a sore thumb. We are different from them and they hate us, however because we are different we do things our own way, they look up to us.
  12. It is interesting to see how the different forces combine together to attack Sikhs left Liberals + Right Wing Hindus vs Sikhs Left Liberals + Muslims vs Right Wing Hindus Right Wing Hindus (want Sikhs to be in on their side in Punjab) vs Christian Evangelicals + Left Liberals Does this look right?
  13. Agree. However there are a lot more of our men that are seeking help, but we do not hear about it.
  14. With the advent of instagram and onlyfans, these beauty contests do not mean that much. But what you must realise is that with the technology that is around with filtering etc, if you are looking for a girl to get married and you see her photo, girls these days know how to take a good picture, which angle to take a photo etc so when you meet them in person, it's like a completely different person. For example, if you see a really close up picture of a girl and not the rest of her, it means that she is quite fat/overweight. All sorts of tricks are played
  15. That is true The cosmetics industry is huge. With social media, things have become amplified. The amount of filtering and photo-shopping and lighting that goes on is mind blowing and puts pressure on girls. If you see some of the make-up/ non make-up pictures with celebrities you realise how ordinary they really are. 80 percent of their "beauty " can be removed with a wet wipe.
  16. I am beginning to believe women want to objectify themselves. There is a lot of money that these girls make to objectify themselves. Like these girls say, " it's my body my choice. Who are you to tell me what to do. You don't own me, I'm a liberated woman, I can do what I like " Harnaaz is getting what most girls crave , "attention "
  17. The concept of seva can be taken to it's extreme means taking selflessness in every aspect of your life. Putting your self last is seen as a noble act. However, extreme selflessness can be one of the worst form selfishness because you are doing selflessness for a reward and it is not really for altruistic reasons. If your satisfy your needs first and you are santokhi then any form of seva you are doing you are not expecting anything back in return. The altruism will be more genuine. How can you help others when you cannot even help yourself first?
  18. Islam is based on Arab tribalism, it is based on having an enemy. You create and alliances amongst groups by having an enemy. This is where the loyalty comes from. When there are no external enemies they turn on each other. Muslims will always back another muslim (even though they may know they are wrong ) because of the tribal loyalty. Sikh on the other hand will go against another Sikh for a non-Sikh because we do not have an us v them mentality. Our priority is based on going by what is true (or what they would think is truth ). Our scriptures are very different from the Quranic scripture because we have bhagats of different backgrounds in our Guru Granth Sahib that are in line with Sikhi. What this means is that if Bhagat or Pir also have elements of truth and this transfers into our dealings with people of other faiths.
  19. 1. Darul Harb vs Darul Salam. They have an us and them mentality. You maintain loyalty by having a constant enemy 2.The chaaploosi that counts for the Pakistani muslim and other subcontinental muslim is reserved for the muslim master races: Arabs, Turks and Persians. A Pakistani are known as beggars and the Arabs cannot stand them for good reason in the Gulf.
  20. I believe that Harjap has a Portuguese passport (taken around Brexit time) so if the sh1t hits the fan he will have somewhere to go. This government says one thing and does another. Priti Patel talks tough (she is f'n useless) and yet there are thousands of people coming over the channel in boats. So potentially there are millions of non-white people who will have their citizenship stripped away but the government cannot even control the borders. So what are they going to do, are they going to put us in camps?
  21. I think patriarchy is given a bad rap in contemporary society. It is blamed for everything. However, contemporary society has shown is when the authority of the father is taken away society begins to unravel. In the chaos that prevails a power vacuum emerges and it gets taken over by another masculine power which brings order. The chaos which tends to be feminine invites the masculine. It is the fathers, brothers and sons that protect their females. It is the male instinct to protect. Men individually are quite simple creatures but collectively intuitively understand if there is an enemy in their midst. Women are far more cunning individually but can be collectively quite naive when there is an enemy in their midst. What you notice with muslim men is that they portray the worst and best aspects of masculinity. The intuitively know that it is their role to protect their females but they will simultaneously invade another tribe for their females. The typical Sikh man intuitively understands this of the muslim man. It's an instinct us Sikh men are born with. I can go on but I will leave it at that for the meantime.
  22. -Modesty - Resistance to liberalism - higher birth rates - alphaness These 4 points are connected. What do you think it is? What is the common denominator here?
  23. I know you have, but the videos and screenshots can be distracting.
