  1. Weakening of India and a potential ally against them. Punjab is considered the "breadbasket" of India I believe, If Independence would happen then I'm guessing that it would end up weakening India's growing Populous.
  2. Would help if Marriages were based a bit more on the couple getting to know each other first rather than just marrying as complete strangers, this seems to be a worrying trend, especially those that are using marriage as a means of immigration. I've seen that take it's toll as 2 incompatible people get married and then end fighting over random things.
  3. I'll say this much. I wasn't much of a fan of Dhandrianwale as a person at first, I loved his Kirtan and Katha but as a person I was really on the fence about it all. However I will say he's gained quite a lot of respect from me at-least (not that my respect means much lol) and after all that has happened he's done far more than many of the so-called Panth Premi.
  4. It's all fine having Gurbani online too. That is a great tool but we need to see another side to all this as well. Imagine a single error in printing and that error enters into many many saroops, by doing so these errors would end up confusing the Sikh populus even more. We would literally have to hunt through old Saroops to find out where the mistake came from, then reclaim all the Saroops with this "error" and then further correct it. A Similar story can occur online. Printing existed during Guru Sahib's time too, Yet it was never the primary source of getting Saroops to the growing Sikh Sangat. Why? Perhaps due to what writing Gurbani actually entails. Many Mahaprukhs have pointed out that writing Gurbani is a great way to absorb it, People such as Bhai Mani Singh Ji who were scribes of Guru Sahib and even Baba Deep Singh Ji who took part in the Seva to perform such an act all ended up becoming great Sikhs and true role models to us all. Hand-written is a great way to maintain this tradition. A center where Guru Granth Sahib Ji's Saroops are being constantly written would be a great tool in further helping our Granthi or anyone who wishes to get involved in the seva learn more than just writing Gurmukhi. We should treat Gurbani like a treasure, which it is. Printing in its current form is far too easy to tamper with. Hand-writing with love and devotion and then checking it on a regular Basis (as Guru Sahib Ji did) would be a far safer way alternative to mass production. Again, I'm not against putting Gurbani online but I do believe this tradition should continue. Even the translations we currently have need to re-evaluated :/ The best source of Gurbani would be try and read the actual Gurmukhi. But English translations are a great tool. We need people who are experts in English and have a great Gurmukhi background sitting down and translating them. A standardized translation would be a good start, not essential but oh well.
  5. There was talk about a terrorist being captured alive on PTC news last night I believe, either that or another Indian news channel. I bet soon he'll "confess" to being behind all this.
  6. I'm so sorry. This made me chuckle.
  7. nice work man. There;s been so much going on I assume many people are struggling to keep up as new facts crop up.
  8. Well done. He did something every Sikh in the world is doing right now.
  9. We would be here for a long time if you want to discuss what actually is "excellent" and what is "good" They literally made a mistake and now went "oopsy" and tried to fix it. The amount of coverage they give to try to justify it was insane, this is hardly anything when Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji saroops are being desecrated everywhere and they are doing minimal effort to try and help the situation despite being "the elected voice of Sikhs". Even when it comes to the Akal Takhat they need to broaden their influence, their so cut off they generally have no idea or control over what is going on in foreign countries. The jathadar in general need to step outside of Punjab more imo.
  10. They are trying to divert attention and "calm the masses" so to put. I agree it's good but it isn't excellent.
  11. LOL that's amazing. Keep Driving Badal, Keep driving on. There is something strange going on
  12. Naruto irritates me, One Piece is alot better though. Much,Much better.
  13. Someone seems like a One Piece fan. But on topic yeah try Basics of Sikhi. Build from there.
  14. Hardly matters to be fair. The point of hair is simply to let it go its course. Bald People suddenly don't become nonspiritual if their hair is falling out naturally.
  15. Am the only one who thought this lad seemed to think he was in a Bollywood movie or something. Parents crack down on Kid for his "forbidden love" so he loses it and goes off driving dangerously fast. sounds like soap material.
  16. These people are amazing. Their role models not just for us Sikhs but also to fellow human beings. Bhai kanhaiya Sahib Ji's work and spirit lives on in organizations like this.
  17. Very true. Even if one isn't a sikh, a good human being is something we all should strive for.
  18. The highlighted sounds like thinly veiled sexism to me lol. Though It may have been that my father mentioned.
  19. I'd advise the Sangat to read as much Gurbani in its Gurmukhi form as possible. Then turn to the English and then if you can read the Punjabi translation, The more Gurmukhi you read the further you'll understand it and start to realize where the misconceptions can arise. It's better to go to the Source directly rather than taking a more dangerous road. I want to thank OP here because this is a big issue, people take different translations and certain ones are used to push certain agendas. Certain words are defined in Gurbani, their translations are presented in Gurbani itself. But people end up mis-reading and as a result putting it down as something else.
  20. Mata Sundri/Mata Jito were the same person I believe. Mata Sundri Ji was nicknamed Sundri due to her beauty. I think it was affectionately given to her by Mata Gujri Ji.
  21. Swear my dad was telling me about it a while back. Oh well, as usual SGPC will come on TV and talk about equality while excluding woman from Kirtan lol. Hypocrisy at its finest.
  22. Welcome to Kalyug, please take a seat while an army of symbolic demons start slowly rotting your mind and soul.
  23. You're mother should be reminded off the vows she took during her Amrit Sanchar. She's a daughter of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, she has the same caste as him lol. In other words she is caste-less. If she's obsessing over something like that I would consider talking to the Panj Pyare about it, or someone in you're local Gurudwara.
